It's painful to watch LSU baseball right now regardless of where you stand on Mainieri

Find myself looking away during the many ways LSU loses baseball games as if I already know what's about to occur. And I don't have the answers, at the moment Mainieri doesn't appear to either. My guess is, LSU fans will have to endure a couple more years of this type of ball where LSU struggles mightily in all areas early in the season before learning how to win games. Just don't get this type of coaching, it's getting old! Wish Mainieri would learn to evolve like Coach O.

You made this entire thread, saying a whole bunch of nothing, just so you could plug that last line in there.

A win today would mean we won all 3 weekends with 1 midweek loss through the first month of the season.

This board didn’t trust O until he won a NC & as soon as he gets behind next season everyone will be calling for his head

The coaching comparisons are asinine, CPM is just like Miles....CPM will never be as good as O

It’s fricking stupid & shows the ignorance & immaturity of the posters here

Its not that bad. Only had 1 real bad inning of pitching. The young hitting will improve. It sucks leaving RSP.

I was being totally honest, this hurts to watch, much like Les Miles' games near the end of his time at LSU. Miles was ignorant about evolving, Coach O wasn't. Mainieri should have learned something by now, maybe he will next season, if not, I'm done!

Good point, but if Mainieri trots Mo Hampton's arse out to left field today, I'm going to start to have a few concerns.

Why wait? Please be done now, so we don't have to read stupid arse threads like this ever again.

Tell me one thing that other coaches around the country are doing that is new and innovative that LSU is not doing? I’ll wait.

A win today will not get this LSU team to Omaha, Mainieri won't win enough games coaching this way. Are there in any Joe Brady's in baseball? Sure there are, but Mainieri isn't looking.

Very rarely do coaches change until they are forced to.

I’m not the biggest PM fan right now, and he has become very Les-ish. With that said, I’m not sure how you prevent the Baylor loss. We made pitching changes, and the Bears still teed off on us. It is what it is.

The glaring issue is having only 3 batters over .300 at the beginning of the game, and a bottom of the order with 3 guys sub-.200. You need to have a better lineup to compete consistently. Maybe Doughty and DiGiacomo get rolling, but big picture...the lineup needs to improve.

I’m not defending Mainieri but I love when people try and apply tactics and coaching from one sport to another.

A loss won't keep them out either.

What way is he coaching?

He just hired a person for this.

OP isn't wrong

Our team .241 BA is good for dead last in the SEC

And I honestly cannot remember an LSU team that has as many pathetic at bats as this quad.

Just like a loss last night won't keep them out of Omaha.

Which way exactly is he coaching?

Who should he hire? Is the new hitting coach project done all ready? Should we fire him 3 weekends into the season, and go looking for "Joe Brady?"

You made this thread to slobber on Orgerons knob, because that's what you do.
