2. It’s ODB because O Dell Beckham and he was nasty on the field at LSU.
Except it's Odell. Not O Dell. Not O'dell. And he's a junior...

Well I didn’t come up with the nickname, it came up on tRant when he first came to LSU.
I would suggest just accepting it and letting it go because you’re not going to win.
It was set when he was here, now he’s gone and ODB remains. DWI

You mean when they say "the rapper?" and you have to try and not look like an idiot so you then say OBJ.
If I'm talking about football and say ODB, the idiot would be the person thinking I was talking about the rapper.

Hmmm... looks like maybe he took "OBJ" with him, then?

From a grammatical perspective, the surname is not Becham, Jr. It is just Becham. The Jr. goes with the given name or Christian name which is Odell Jr.

Hmmmmm....maybe Nike wasn’t going to put ODB on a shoe?!?
Once again, It was a Rant thing. And it will remain. Can some of y’all just not accept some humor around here? Lighten up.

Seems to me "y'all" may not be who needs to lighten up??

this. add to it that there was a pic with Odell Sr. wearing an LSU jersey with ODB Sr. on it, and Odell Jr. used to have ODB Jr. on his Twitter (though OBJ for the handle). they're really kinda interchangeable IMO.

I don't understand ODB just as I don't understand SLU calling themselves SELU.

It's ODB... SUCK O'Dell's DB.
OBJ sounds like he's giving them.
OBJ sounds like he's giving them.

Odell might actually like that.

good point
it seems that ODB and OBJ are interchangeable nicknames and the correct one should be used depending on the situation and context
Both he and the e rant has traditionally called him ODB for the most part but he sometimes refers to himself as OBJ also. I could see the reason for him using OBJ for commercial purposes such as with Nike.

The guy is a winner. having him on the sidelines for the A&M game was very special.
