Don’t get me wrong I wish they were better. And if they turn it on I’ll be the first to admit I was wrong. They were a mediocre baseball team last year and brought most of the same players from that team back this year. I don’t understand all of the purple colored glasses mentality. Just because the media screwed up and voted them preseason #1 doesn’t mean they are automatically gonna be good. They are 25 games into this season and it has not been very impressive or hopeful at all. JMO

4-2 in the SEC with a series sweep and three games down to the wire in Athens against the best team in the conference.

Skip would lose to in state baws all the time . A different perspective .. imo it’s not a bad thing some times . Most of those in state baws are also big LSU fans . Good for state morale.. I know a lot of the McNeese fans and alums are huge LSU fans like my mother :

I don’t think it is accurate to say it’s not a bad team. You can hope the jury is still out. They have played poorly so far and the number/frequency of pitchers having their best outings against us is getting disconcerting. After a while, you start to worry that it’s more a matter of poor hitting than great pitching.
