Big difference between a DWI and molesting a child. Yes I am ok with throwing a child molester onto a deserted island. I would even be ok with drunk drivers as well, since my brother was killed by a drunk driver.

This is for the Oregon state fan who told me his registered sex offense doesn’t show on background checks.
They found out about it doing a background check.
Heimlich, the Pac-12 pitcher of the year, was 15 when the crime occurred at his family’s home in Puyallup, Washington. He joined the Oregon State baseball program in the fall of 2014 and registered as a sex offender in Benton County.
The Oregonian reported that Heimlich was cited in April for failing to complete a required registration update, putting his case into Oregon court records for the first time. Washington state classified Heimlich as a low-risk offender. The Oregonian came across the information during a routine background check as the paper was preparing a profile on Heimlich.

Then what purpose does the penal system serve then? If you don’t believe in the possibility of redemption, what’s the point? Anyone that breaks the law should just be put to death.

So, nobody was supposed to find out he was a pervert who liked 6 year olds?? On the contrary, everyone should know this little fact about him.

Obviously the crimes aren't even close to the same thing. But, after conviction I would say a lot more people would get a DWI before the others would commit a sex offense.

That’s not for you to decide. You were not the judge.

Well the child’s mom is convinced he did it and he was apparently turned in by his own brother.
I posted this in the whacked thread, but it's worth repeating...
Do some research about the McMartin preschool case from the 80s. The owners went on several trials for sexual molestation based on accusations from the kids and their parents. Every charge was eventually dropped and kids recanted their claims in subsequent years.
None of us know the absolute truth with the Heimlich situation, but we know the mother of the little girl was denied custody. Don't underestimate how easily young minds can be influenced by crazy parents.

This is for you considering your reading skills are not good.
The Oregon state police ACCIDENTALLY AND PAINSTAKINGLY thought he had to re-register when in fact HE DID NOT. Thus the case became unsealed and it showed on the background check. As of now for instance, it will NOT SHOW again as its SEALED.

I disagree. A child molester is sick in the head and brain damaged. Not much chance of fixing that. A drunk can clean himself up if he desires to.

He admitted and pleaded guilty, frick that molester.

Really? Most drunk drivers are actually repeat offenders.

I never said they weren’t. But they can clean themselves up if the want to. If you mess with kids, that reaches a level of sickness you can’t fix.
Posted on 6/3/18 at 8:19 pm to AshLSU
Well now everyone knows his dirty little secret. It’s just sad that the judge didn’t take into account the kids that he would be around and the further damage he could do. And I applaud the MLB teams that have already said they won’t draft him bc of this. Why people take up for this behavior is so baffling. There is absolutely no excuse.

As I said before. People have admitted to doing all kinds of shite they didn’t actually do.
The point we are trying to get people like you to understand is that there is far more to this case than what you know.
You are refusing to take in the whole picture and are basing your opinion on insufficient data.
You are being the epitome of a SJW here.

Forgive me for assuming the guilt of someone who plead guilty if he doesn’t want to be seen as guilty then don’t admit that you did the crime

Not exactly true. Some can clean themselves up and have with help. They, of course, are not allowed to be around little kids and they shouldn’t be. But that doesn’t mean they can’t still be productive members of society.

Forgive the rest of us for acknowledging that we don’t know all of the facts and that we accept that judging and punishing someone is NOT OUR JOBS.

If this was a middle relief guy he wouldn’t be on the team. Plain and simple.
