Only time will tell in his first 3 recruiting seasons he put exactly one SEC starting caliber player on the floor. We will see if how O'Bryant, Hamilton and Hickey turn out but you would think any decent recruiter could have done better than one SEC caliber player in 3 seasons.

Not to mention Hickey may turn out to be a steal but if he was that good I am surprised UK and Louisville let him get out of state and Hamilton? There would seem to be a reason he transferred from Iowa St.

Bottom line

LSU sucks horribly in basketball

It has been YEARS given to Trent with NO improvement in sight.

Kids aren't buying what he is selling once they get here and so they just pick up and leave rather than play for his sorry arse.

It is what it is, please everyone stop trying to sugar coat this dibacle of a hire...

Brady had to go, but this is HORRIBLE at best.

As I said earlier, it doesn't appear that TJ can recruit all that well. But I have a reason for optimisim this year with a brand new team of Hickey, JOB, Issac and Hamilton. If we are below .500 in SEC play and don't make the tourney though, it will be past time for him to go.

Lose Derenbrecker, don't get Gathers or Felix. O'Bryant is a one or two year guy and admitted the same. The wheels are coming off. The program has no momentum and Johnson seems to have no relationships with high school or aau coaches in Louisiana

how about we see how the season turns out before making such a claim?

If we don't make the SEC tourny then he should be given the boot instantly.

What does Collis Temple have to do with anything? If he and Trent were BFF's, tell me one player who would be at LSU right now. Tell me one game we lost that would have been won as a result of Collis Temple.

I keep reading that Trent can't recruit Louisiana.
Oh but there is no talent in La. Where can this mummy recruit from? I don't see an end in sight to a head coach who can't recruit shite.

Les Miles is winning and the nay sayers still haven't changed their tune. Even less of a chance for negatigers to change their tune for TJ

yeah .. i said that about TRENT JOHNSON on another topic .. what does it have to do with dale brown again ? what relevance does it have to the dale brown conversation ? funny, you'd go back and find that -- with NO relevance to this topic -- yet you won't go back to find the other shite you misquoted .. interesting ..

so johnson was supposed to follow this little endless summer, party boy around 24/7 and tuck him into bed at night ? give me a fricking break ... johnson won the SEC with a team that john brady lost his job with a year earlier ..

Thornton broke out in 2009 and Tasmin was hurt the year prior. It wasn't a great coaching job...I think 3-4 of the players on that team made NBA rosters at one time or another. What players that TJ has brought in will make it to the NBA for even a week long stint?
