Because one of the biggest reasons the fan base was tired of him was b/c he won ugly.

I would actually rather win pretty than win ugly if you're going 7-5 either way.

For some people yeah but for me (and no doubt thousands of others) it became indefensible when his teams started tanking after the Bama game and getting their doors blown off by Arky and Ole Piss. Alabama consistently wins 11 or 12 regular season games a year and competes for nattys every season. If Miles had accomplished those feats while continually winning ugly I think it’s safe to say he would still be in charge.

Unless it comes as a heavy underdog in Jordan-Hare. It could be the ugliest game of all time this Saturday but if LSU wins it will be a glorious thing of beauty in my eyes.
