I would have to know what the other plays they ran to get there and what was working before now...............

That play versus Kentucky was botched on the O-line. As I recall, a pulling guard missed his assignment.
I think Rocket is just being creative in selecting a situation that calls for CLM's patented old fashioned line up and beat you mentality.
He might as well had said, "Whose going to get the ball on the first play of the game for a two+ yard carry."
With Scott's injury in the spring, I don't think there is a clear cut favorite, and Miles go-to guy is still up for grabs. There's no question that Murphy leads for outside the tackles, and two springs ago, he carried between the tackles quite a bit on draws.
Ridley was getting a hard look by the staff, IMO, but the job will probably be CS's to lose.

Go back and watch it yourself and tell me why Hester got the ball the whole second half when he played like shite the whole game.

Who was that white running back getting all the carries at the spring game?
That guy.
That guy.

somebody, i can't remember who, missed a blocking assignment. scott would have had it had the block been made. i remember miles saying it after the game and then seeing it on replay after he mentioned it

I probably exaggerated the amount of time he spent on the bench, but you get my point........hopefully.

Really? This is news to most of us.
Check this out:
quote:
L 2-10 K15 Charles Scott rush for 2 yards to the UK13 (Jeremy Jarmon).
L 3-10 K41 [SHOT], Matt Flynn pass complete to Charles Scott for 1 yard to the UK40
(Jeremy Jarmon;Wesley Woodyard).
Those were the only 2 plays he was involved in, in the 2nd half.
The carry was in the 3rd quarter and the pass reception near the end of the 4th quarter.

I think I'll be just fine.

Your right, his 3rd carry came in OT. Still, he wasn't on the bench. He played alot in the second half just didn't get the ball. He was used on alot of play-action passes out of the I. Keiland didn't get the ball at all and I don't remember seeing him at all except for special teams. Very strange half to say the least. RP had 3 carries on the first drive of 2H then didn't play the rest of the game. Lots of dropped balls, McManus in instead of Byrd, no Keiland etc...
To answer the original ? I would probably put Ridley behind QJ and run behind big Herm. Ridley is supposedly a beast.

Its a trick question. We will not be behind at any point during the Bama game.

Maybe so.
I don't have a copy of the game and I don't recall having watched a replay on it. I am going to get a copy and reassess. I just feel he should have gotten more carries in the second half and overtimes than he did.
This is the best angle of the last play I've found on Youtube so far:

It looks like either Hitt or Miller missed a block on the guy who tackled Scott.

Would that have made LSU National Championship better?

I didn't ask who we could depend on to karate chop an opposing player that would result in a penalty.

playaction bootleg to the TE in the corner

I would roll Josh Booty to the right and send him 1 on 1 against their LB's!!!!!

If I wasn't going to run it between the tackles, I'd have Murphy in the Wild Tiger where he takes the snap and runs around the end for a touchdown.
