That’s a bit much hyperbole. A holy grail hire would be someone younger.

Would you have hired Saban 10 years ago??? And paid him the most in the country?

And this is why it could work. My thoughts:

- It's much easier to recruit ball players to LSU, versus Vanderbilt. His hassle factor is severely reduced in his later days of coaching.

- Artificial turf is really hot, versus grass. Old guys hate heat.

- He's 60. He can go to 70. It's baseball.

- Higher income produces bigger savings for retirement, and he just might qualify for that state pension that is not available at the private school.

Nick Saban is 70....would you take Nick Saban right now??? 60 is fine if he's on board for 10 years

This is my only gripe with hiring corbin, i do not want to be in this same situation in the next few years. Lets back up the brinks truck and grab a young hire who can keep this program going for many years
