No one is bashing him or his "performance". We're bashing our hiring process, questioning whether we got the best guy for our program while also hoping he indeed has success.

Is your hand OK? You knocked the shite out of that straw man.

What's not obvious?
Your posts come from a place of fear and apprehension. An example? "It's not if, but when. . . ". Things like that make it less obvious. IMHO

Don't hold back. Tell us how you really feel.

What's wrong with recognizing that it's practically inevitable that our young, talented coordinators will eventually move on? And how does that equate to me wishing O fails?

Man this is all too familiar, just replace O with Miles....
They had people who hated Miles so much that they wanted LSU to lose.
They had people who loved Miles so much any critique was seen as "bashing."
Then they had people who played both sides of the fence, "I love LSU, but....."
Obviously people are going to say they love LSU and don't care who is the coach but several who are now proclaiming that u can go back into their post history and prove otherwise.
(This post is not directed at the one I am replaying to, he/she just happened to be the one I clicked on.)

Don't get your panties in a twist. Your support of LSU and wanting success is not that obvious to me. Lots of people have trouble being happy in the moment for fear of impending doom and the "what ifs". They claim to want the best for LSU, but always point out how there is doom on the horizon. You seem like one. Hey, but what do I know?

Clearly don't know how to recognize and analyze a multi-faceted, nuanced opinion.

You can root for LSU to be successful and still recognize the obstacles in the road.
I really don't understand how some of our fans are too stupid to realize or accept this.

Agreed. Recognizing obstacles and predicting doom with every obstacle is not the same. One method shows a realistic support. The other makes the support less obvious.
I don't understand how some of our fans are too stupid to see the difference.

I can't understand why those that are all rah-rah coach O, don't seem to be able to see this.

Over / Under on Coach O hiring threads started in 2017 is one gabillzon.
I'll take the over.
I'll take the over.

I can't understand how you can question whether we got the best guy for the job. But sure, bring up his record from 10 years ago at a school that was rebuilding at the same time the division was so greatly improving. Because succeeding in that situation would be greater than anything Saban has done.

Because most people don't just completely ignore past experience when looking at whether a potential hire is qualified for the position.

Well it's a large part of what we have to go off of. His only stent as a permanent coach was a dismal failure. Sorry for using my brain.
