It is the perfect time for Tony Benford

Odds are great that Wade will never coach another LSU game. This is unfortunate, because he is likely the only person who could hold the remnants of the team together. If he's not coming back, it is the perfect time for Coach Benford to be the head coach.
It will be a rough time for the program. Let Coach Benford right the ship, then bring in the glamor coach that everyone wants. If Wade isn't coming back, the NCAA won't jack with Coach Benford and, given the turmoil, he isn't going to get the top recruits (no coach would at this point).

GH would be an excellent candidate. But, do you want to burn him up? The odds are that next year's coach is going to have a rough year, and LSU needs someone with the mettle to stick it out.

Aren't you the same hack that wanted JJ to stay? Hmmm starting to see a pattern here, that's unfortunate that you would only see that one aspect of a candidate, I would prefer we hire or retain the best coach out there, regardless of other factors.

And, if he does, what do you get? If you are from the "everybody pays the players" contingent, who is going to accept pay from LSU when it will be under scrutiny from the NCAA and/or FBI? They will go somewhere else for their money.
If you are not from the "everybody pays" contingent, you have to know that recruiting is going to be a problem for a couple of years. Let Coach Benford sort it out. If he does well, LSU wins. If he doesn't, LSU hasn't lost a thing and can hire the coach it wants.
