The late FG attempt against Bama, and the two goal line flops against Arkansas (winless in the SEC I might add) are all the evidence you need that we are now coaching only to extend Orgeron's million dollar contract. There are no titles in our future. Repeat. we have re-entered the Miles era. The goal now is for 10 win seasons, with Ponamsky running interference if it looks like we might fall below that

The late FG against Bama was for optics only. There was no intention of trying anything to get back into that game. Exactly the same thing we saw on 1/9/12

Then yesterday, Orgeron was afraid. Yes afraid that a 2-8 Arkansas would somehow get the ball back twice in under a minute and tie the game. Think about that for a second. A team that had only scored 17 points in 58 minutes, had Orgeron worried they could score 14 points in a minute. He is now caching not to lose, rather than to win

He sole goal is to protect his contract. The pretense of being elite, or ever going to the playoffs is officially dead in this staff's hands

While I laugh at the sentiment behind your post, it’s obvious that the coaching staff was trying to score while Brossette thought we should be taking a knee.

You lost me here because...
1. I don't think O had any intention of not scoring. Brossette made his own call.
2. He went for it on 4th and a long 1 instead of kicking the fg to go up 3 scores.
That was a dumb arse call

Have seen this a lot this season unfortunately....almost every game in fact. Get a lead, and sit on it....

Still a hell of a season though, so far vastly exceeding expectations.

Then why did O say after the game they were indeed trying to run the clock out?

And after Brossette did that, why not pull him, or send word not to do that shite again?

Its coaching

O said they just needed to run the clock and take a knee. Did you see us take a knee? Orgeron was lying.

Same old shite. At least early in his career Miles had a pair. This bum is just trying to win enough to stay employed. He DGaF about LSU and it’s football program. He quit before.

Then go cheer for someone else if you hate us so much. 8-2 with their schedule, a brand new QB and having to repair a woeful O-Line. This is not a bad coaching job. At least it’s not Jimbo (7.5 million per year to finish with the same record as last year) or Taggert or Frost. Those were all massive failures this year.

Alleva should absolutely be fired. Paying way less money than we paid to a prior coach to win more games the first year. What an idiot. Meanwhile, A&M pays nearly twice the money for the same number of wins. They are the tenuous. Nobody that knows anything business would ever want to pay less money for more production when they can pay twice as much money for the same production.

Go get some anger therapy. 8-2 with our schedule is a good year. If we go 10-2 and get to a nY 6 Bowl then it could be an excellent year. Fact is nobody is as good as BAMA. Saban has built a juggernot not like CFB has never seen, and I HATE to say this.

O wanted to score. I don’t think he realized NB4 went down on his own. O kept calling plays to score, not take a knee

RobbBobb go back to sucking your sugar tit. Everything goes to just fine, we are 8-2 not 2-8. O is 17-5 over the last two years and looks like we will get 10 wins this year.

This is the elephant in tbe room that nobody can talk about. Everyone always blames the coaches and AD regarding but the issue with LSU is much deeper. We will not consistently beat them until we have a different view of the program from it's highest echelons right on down. We need a Paul Bryant Jr. Until someone steps in and has that type of dominant influence they will remain as they are. Subsequently so will we.

We unfortunately share the division with the most powerful football program that has existed. We are a very good program, but we aren't Bama.
