I see this latest blatant cheat job was enough to have some of the usual "hardasses" questioning things.

I decided to quit watching with about 9 minutes to go before the first half, and then refrained from making a thread on the board to let everyone know LSU wasn't winning this one no matter what.

It was so damn obvious what was going on. I knew half our team would be fouled out before halfway through the second half.

I saw some of the replays this morning. Those refs would be great rigging games for the NBA.

The fact that LSU even stayed within single digits at the end says a lot about the team, and it appears Wade handled the cheating well in his postgame conference. Kudos to him and the team for recognizing it for what it was, and not doing anything stupid to retaliate and cause further trouble in terms of suspensions, etc.

I’d love to get the pigs in the SECT. They’re acting like they just beat UK or something on the rant when the reality is we split with them this year and are 4-2 against them during Wade’s tenure.

Let them celebrate. They "won".

As a fan, my advice to you is know what you are watching, learn to accept it, and move on.

This very well could happen again to LSU in the SECT.

One of the worst officiated games I ever saw was in the SECT. Here's a hint: after the game, Dale Brown made sure Shaq wouldn't come back.

In other words: this has been going on in this conference for DECADES.

I didn't get to see the beginning of the game, so I checked the game thread before I left for home just to see where it stood. The only stat I saw was that 13 fouls were called in the first 7 minutes of the game and I knew I wouldn't be watching the game.

Regardless of if you think the refs were cheating, or if their calls had an effect on the game, they make the games unwatchable.

Someone wrote an article a week or so ago that tracked the amount of fouls in conference games. The SEC is by far the number one conference in fouls called per game. I know the refs aren't conference refs, but somehow we still get the bottom of the barrel guys like Doug Shows and TV Teddy.

And it doesn't help SEC teams when they get to the tournament.

As soon as I see either of these two clowns, I know there is no point in watching the game. It will be a brutal product that will be ruined with the quickness.

PS - The SEC doesn't care. They want as many teams in the tourney as possible. If a few eggs have to be cracked, so be it.

Certainly was. The abuse he was taking was going to lead to something bad happening either to him, the opponent, or both.

Said a lot when the SEC allowed a premier player like that to be treated that way. Shaq was a great product to promote SEC basketball at that time, but the agenda for the bluebloods was, and always will be, more important. Just how it goes.

The refs were horrible but the defense LSU played in the first half was equally as terrible. They played better defense in the second half but the refs were still horrible.

As I said, I didn't see the game. I simply don't watch when I know the refs are going to make their presence known. It's a bad, unentertaining product. And that's what the SEC should be caring about.

That was the most one sided officiated game I can remember in my lifetime.

The one that made me laugh was the 3 at the end of the first half where the guy kicks Smart, falls down and they call a foul on Javonte.

It was a joke

Not only that then turns around and stared down Smart.
It was laughable.

Or where Jones runs over Bishop late and the refs staring straight at them. No call.

Or the one where Jones takes 4 steps, jumps into the defender and gets 3 FT's

They lost because they have zero discipline and play street ball. The exact reason I can’t watch the NBA but that is what today’s audience wants to see so I will just root from a distance. I hope they do well but the product is horrible!

I saw those replays this morning.

Obvious agenda. Hope those guys were compensated well for their work.

Man when you get into foul trouble that early in the game with ticky tack at best calls, it's hard to do much.
Look they didn't play well early, but the refs flat dictated the game with the whistle and lack thereof.

Ark was getting the call on any little bump and our guys weren't getting the same treatment.

I hate to blame officiating totally but in this game it was justified.

This is a completely uneducated statement. LSU does not play street ball and the offensive efficiency stats prove that.

LSU also doesn't foul a lot, despite the outlier that was last night.

LSU has defensive problems, and that is where the issues are.

Refs need to crack down on the offense initiating contact. If the offense initiates contact either barreling the defender or sticking an off balance leg in the way, then the defense should get a free pass.
