Is this the happiest the board has been after Week 1?

Sure feels like it. It’s nice to come here and celebrate the excitement and not either be pissed off at a horrible start to the season. Even with the win last year there were still a lot of question marks.
Some things I really liked as opposed to other years:
1. The play calling
2. The lack of bonehead penalties
3. Not wasting timeouts
And most importantly, this team was 100% locked in and ready to play. Like a bunch of pros.

For once I got to witness complimentary football in its purest form. Neither side had to bail the other out.

Agreed. If we tighten up the dropped passes and Sam gets a little more accurate, this could be a really good year.

Regardless of this season, I’m confident Lane is the guy. My only worry is if he’d go to the NFL

I’ve said it since he was hired. He won’t leave for ANY other CFB program. What we’ll have to worry about is him wanting to fix the blemish from his stint in the NFL.
