I think they are close. I worry about the hitting a little and the back end of the order. If we had one more legit pitcher and one more legit hitter I would say absolutely but right now I'm just not sure. They definitely showed the heart of a champion last night and have brought it against the big boys so I'm optimistic but I guess we'll see.

I don't think so, but anything can happen when you get to the Series.

Well Florida looks like the best team. And they took 2/3 from Florida in gainesville. So yes.

If Nola and Hanover can continue hitting the way that they are right now
If the bullpen can keep it together
If baby Nola doesn't have a meltdown
If Eades is on a much, much, much shorter leash

I'll feel OK about it.

Only dominant team out their when healthy is Florida. Other than them..no one is really that scary.

If we can win the SEC..we can win the NCAA champ.

Pitching and D can take you a long way

yes

Can they?

It'll be very tough. They can not win on just talent alone like some teams. They have to be on top their game to do it

If Gausman and Nola keep it up, absolutely. But they'd have to be dominant.

All depends on pitching matchups

This team has championship caliber pitching. If you only have one phase of the game being great I'd take pitching every time, so I say yes we are good enough, but it depends on the draw in Omaha.

Yes. We aren't flashy but our pitching is strong. Homeruns are a rarety in Omaha now so pitching and defense are at a premium.

I think we have overachieved based on talent alone this whole year, their is no reason for us to think it will stop now.

I found myself wondering about this last night. I think we have the ability to do it, we may not be the most talented team there, but we faced the best teams in the country in SEC play and came out on top over the long run. This team is very good in close games, becasue of the veterans and experience we have on this team.

I think KG has got to win when he pitches, if he can go deep into the game and save the bullpen for a possible early departure from Nola or Eades, it helps alot. If Nola can give us a good 7 innings then we can save our pen for Eades' start, then in that case, our pitching is good enough to win it all. Nola has shown the ability to do it, he just has to continue to do it from here on out. Eades has to be on a short leash, but even he has the stuff to dominate, he's just not as consistent as the other two. Between Bonvaillan, Cotton, Goody, and Rumbelow, those guys can give us 5 or 6 shutout innings.

Mason needs to come around and Raph has to Raph. Nola and Ross have been super clutch as of late. Hanover is playing pretty well. We need another couple guys to step up. If Jacoby could come around it would be a huge shot in the arm of the offense. Snickeris, Fields, Edward, Dozar, and Moore just need to pitch in and get some clutch hits and every one of those has done it at some point this season, against very good competition.

We just have to go out there and execute.

Yes. #7 going for #7.

Bullpen is stocked.

Plenty of senior leadership on the team.

Clutch hitting.

Stellar Defense.

If Eades was just a little more consistent, I'd say yes. If someone like Edward or Dozar would go on a tear for the next 7-8 games, I'd say yes. Right now, the sometimes lack of offense scares me and the fact that if KG or Nola have an off game and we rely on Eades for a really good game we are in a bind. I hope, but I am not confident.

Ordinarily, I'd say no.

But once you're in Omaha, you only need 2 stud starters. And if Nola the Younger doesn't fold under the pressure, we've got that.

If we can win the first two in Omaha (provided of course, we get there), all bets are off.

Nowadays in college baseball, it's all about pitching, and we've got quite a bit of that. They can do it - no real dominent team this year - and the teams folks are "looking to" as the favs - namely Florida - we proved we can handle. It'll be tough, but they all are.
