is this 3 man punt formation with Wing almost indefensible?

Not only does he have a big leg, but i'm just wondering when everyone else picks up on it and starts to emulate it.
when you watch closely, he's not kicking the ball immediately, he's hanging on just an extra second or two. This is giving the coverage team a lot of field to cover in that amount of time. Even on a short punt they'll be downfield to the returner.
and then throw in the fact that he may run on a fake, it keeps the Line at bay.
it's easy to see why there is only 6 yards of PRs this year..

This is nothing new. Alot of lower level teams do this. Each punt has the potential to be a fake if the punt return team doesn't send an edge blitzer to force the kick, ie, Florida this year.

The only problem would be if our blocker's failed to perform or they had a great rush with that much extra time.

We are saving that for next season. On the few possessions that we don't score with Mett we will refuse to ever punt the ball.

Wing/Coaching has redefined the game at least a little bit, IMO.

I really like this aspect...he just stands there until someone comes after him...if no one come, he runs himself...

We haven't had a punt blocked this year at all.
