they have more talent than many here give them credit for...they have Malzahn, a good qb and have shown the ability to run the ball...they beat a decent MSU team on a clutch late td drive. in what should be wet/miserable conditions the key, IMO, will be who's oline takes charge and who's qb can convert on third down and protect the ball. I like our chances.

get better, get ready...get even.

I don't want to think about losing to Auburn. Don't want to think about losing, period.

Until we see this team against SEC competition, anything is possible. Can't count TCU.

This is the SEC, of course. The good thing about Les is that he doesn't lose many he should win.

Hell ya

Rain, young team and a Malzahn offense is a recipe for a potential upset

Yes, if our defense continues to struggle with edge contain and mobile QB's.

There was a chance we would have lost to Kent.

Auburn is still a thin program without much talent. We all know we will win. But, is there an angle for Auburn to pull off what could be the biggest upset in Auburn's history?

Of course it's possible to lose to Auburn. First, there's the obvious: we make a bunch of turnovers and mistakes and give the game away. But also, there's a chance without that. Maybe Malzahn's spread offense fools our young, inexperienced defensive players and they score a lot of points and beat us in a shootout. Maybe Mett has an off day and our offense doesn't do well. Maybe the wet conditions turn the game into a sloppy quagmire and anybody can win.

That said, it's more likely that we win because we have better players across the board.

Rain is gonna put us on an even field and take away our ability of making so many long 3rd down passes.

just like us vs. Miami in '88

Maybe something like a bunch of turnovers caused largely by a wet field and nasty conditions?

yes, their offense manages to find and exploit the holes in our defense, our offense sputters due to dropped passes and penalties, Auburn's d-line has the game of their life and effectively shuts down our running game late in the game, an LSU turnover converted for a TD by Auburn at a pivitol moment could change everything.

It's a long shot but far from impossible. What Auburn did to LSU last year was far less probably than them actually winning it this year.
