Yes, there's HOPE for both of them. There's HOPE for Chester at Georgia Southern and HOPE for Davis at Texas Southern. I HOPE they both enter the Transfer Portal. Of course, a great OL Coach could improve them from a Physical and Technique perspective, but if they'll ever have the "Mental-Quick Information Processing Skills" that OL's need.

I agree with this. Chester is not an SEC OLineman, for as big as he is, he is downright soft. These guys need a new coach though, as how was this acceptable?

Not with Davis as OL coach. There has been no development from the line in several years.

So long as Brad Davis is their coach, no.

No, Chester is a lost cause at this point. He’s had too much time to get better and he hasn’t. He’s just not an SEC caliber OL.

I’ll give Weston Davis a pass and have patience with him since he’s only a freshman this year.

There is hope, if nothing else, if Brad Davis isn’t retained on the staff

Both haven’t shown any progress to date

I appreciate Davis’ recruiting, but he just didn’t develop this OL at all. There’s too much talent there by the recruiting rankings for the entire group to be busts. That happens in plenty of individual cases, but the stats on how rankings play out to the draft for 5 stars and high 4s are pretty clear. Most 5 stars are drafted in or near the first round and most high 4s are drafted. All of that points to a major lack of development.

We’ve also been continually playing guys too early. Not every player, even 5 stars, are ready day one like Campbell was. We played him and Jones right away because we didn’t have an option, but here we are playing Davis and Curne too early years later, even with two more experienced portal OL. The same happened with Chester last year. Looking at Ory Williams come in and play better than some others is a good argument for letting some of these guys develop a bit and learn some technique before putting them on the field.

Orry Williams, Coen Echols, Carius Curne look way better than any combination of Chester, Davis, Mubenga that we rolled out there first half of the season.

Mubenga is another guy who will probably leave, but could have potential in the hands of a better developer. He came in raw and athletic. He was more of a project than Davis, but he can move for a guy his size. But he needs a lot of help on technique, leverage and gaining strength without losing his agility.

Mansoor and Haulcey have been the best players on the team all year. Hmm, what's the commonality there?

Woodland and Spears have both improved greatly over the last year. Pickett didn’t come from the portal and has developed well under Raymond. Reliford had a great start to the season and has been greatly missed.

On offense, Anderson and Thomas have played well and been consistent. Obviously, Berry has been great and needs to be a top priority for the next staff.

They've both been offered an NIL deal with Disney as human turnstiles.
