I would counsel him to stay in school and forgo the tens of millions of dollars he will receive. Sitting in Earth Science class three days a week is just that good.

I know I'll be in the minority, but I don't think it is an absolute lock that he is one and done. If he has a good but not great year, and they predict him to be a top 6-8 overall pick, he may decide to play another year so that he can be the #1 overall pick the following year. Has he ever said he is one and done or is everyone just assuming that?

He one and done. Knicks win lottery. He makes Knicks a dynasty. Pels vs. Knicks becomes one of all time rivalries after 5 straight finals matchups.

Me too... , but seriously Ben has the best support system a college star (and a future NBA star) could have, who will provide the best advice for him.

With both his parents, especially former pro basketball player dad, his godfather LSU assistant coach David Patrick, his brother Liam (Southwest Baptist Bearcats men's basketball assistant coach) and his sister Emily (rowing athlete at Washington State Univ) around, we as LSU fans just have to enjoy this coming basketball season to the fullest and support whatever decision Ben Simmons is going to make.

Geaux Ben!

He could be the best thing to happen for LSU basketball in at least two decades. Be so very happy that you have the priviledge to get to watch a player of this caliber, character and basketball acumen wearing purple and gold.

Number one NBA draft picks like this don't come along even every five years. He's a taller Magic Johnson who will make everybody on the team look and play better. He's an excellent leader and role model for young players as well. So very unselfish. The best thing that can happen from this [aside from getting to witness the talent that he is] is that his presence and enjoyment on this team leads to so many others as talented as Blakeney and Brandon to sign for the Tigers each year.

I hope he graduates from LSU some day and is as great an ambassador to the University as Shaq has been.
