wonderful creation God has given us here on earth.
I seriously doubt god cares whether or not Mike goes into TS. Id say it’s weird to invoke him in this situation but the rest of your post tells me everything I need to know

I'm glad we have a tiger and I hope that continues.
This is how it’s done all over the nation. They cultivate this attitude.
Slowly, a little at a time, they shorten your leash so you don’t really notice it. Then, at some point, you have no room left on the leash, and you are happy about it.

i know some of you will find this part difficult to believe, but LSU is actually a school first.
and the Vet school that cares for Mike gets a lot of extra research money and other funds by being accredited as a sanctuary for big cats.
there is also a lot of money that gets made through that same accreditation. for Tiger conservation efforts.
so it’s not about a leash, or even anything political.
the value that comes from that far outweighs the value of dragging a trailer (that vast majority inside the stadium can’t even see into) through the stadium a few times per year.
if our mascot wasn’t one of the more endangered species on the planet we wouldn’t even be having this discussion.

I kept thinking that a some point in this thread a light bulb will go off and he will realize that he looks like an idiot, but it appears that I underestimated him.

Not sure what is wrong with asking everyone here that actually knows this stuff and also finding out some good answers from an outside source.
Will continue to update.

Not asking questions is what got us to this point. At first it was “Mike doesn’t feel well he will be there next week”.
Weeks became years and now peta runs the show and this board carries its water and kisses its boots.
Mike was having the time of his life out there.
And who cares if we are limited to black market tigers? Hell isn’t that even better?
We save a tiger from an unsafe environment AND it’s that much more intimidating. Think if you are the opposing team. They have to issue a “warning” saying hey take it easy running out the tunnel and don’t make any sudden movements. He’s a black market tiger and he’s seen some shite. We don’t know what he will do.

If PETA ran the show, we wouldn't even have a tiger on campus.

You are letting peta dictate terms.
How mad do these pictures make you?
Mike on a leash HAVING THE TIME OF HIS LIFE.
But you buy the lie that your overlords tell.

You ARE aware that Tigers grow up right?

I rate your troll a 5/10 for effort.

Should we go back to making the cheerleaders wear hoop skirts and sweaters too?

I know a lot of folks and specifically folks on forums like this are ate up with the politics and social issues and have picked their side and have dug in on that side and use a lot of events and happenings as an avenue to express those passionate opinions.
But I do think there are much, much better examples to make your points above than this.

….and the leash shortens, ever so slightly.

You got good answers 12 pages and 11 hundred topics ago. It's no longer "asking questions". You're now in the "belligerent ignorance" phase.
Take the L.

What lie? PETA does not want LSU to have a live mascot at all. You're about as bright as the OP.

Those pictures were taken when Mike V was 3 months old. We didn't acquire VII until he was 12 months or VI until he was 2 years old. At that point, neither were leashable cubs but full-grown apex predators.

PETA has roughly 0.0% say so in this situation.
but if you need a boogeyman to blame, go ahead.
