I hate to think it, but he’s already a top 5-8 pick in 2021 draft by most analysts, won a Biletnikoff, SEC championship, and a national title.

Why would he not protect his stock by sitting out this odd arse season?

IF it were to happen, this squad is still loaded and dangerous on offense.

I'm ok if Bama players opt out and Saban can tank the season like Belichick did.

There is a possibility but there is nothing Chase has ever done or said that leads me to believe he is the type of player to want to miss any football games that he is healthy and available to play in.

A spring season? Sure, and I wouldn't blame him. Fall season? I doubt it. I think you'll see very few players opt out of a fall season. Even the top guys would risk hurting their draft stock while other players are showing out all season.

There is a possibility but he recently talked to Cody Worsham on the Hey Fightin' podcast and it looks like he has taken a real leadership role and doesn't take the responsibilities with being #7 lightly.

Dear diary;
Today I woke up with a minor, specific fear based on absolutely nothing factual or real. I then went to the world wide interwebz to share my anxiety. It was a good day.

The reason he might choose not to do that is because if a couple or three other WRs evolve into what look to be top WRs, he might go 20th instead of 5-8.

There is no doubt that Chase would be highly thought of if he did opt out. But, there is something to lose.
