I thought this too when Rashod Bateman did, but then I thought about, see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.

Now speaking truthfully, I would tell anybody that this would be the right thing to do, if their situation was like Chase's. Last year at LSU he accomplished just about everything a WR could obtain in a single season, and is projected as a top 10 pick. I've been saying this all offseason, but Chase is an NFL level WR already (he was last year too). He doesn't need any extra college experience or coaching to improve his game. Nick Bosa dropped out after a game 3 injury and nothing affected his draft stock, or his rookie play in a negative way.

The ONLY good thing that would come out of it for LSU, is that the future WRs like Boutte and Palmer, will get even more experience.

LSU P&G, please don't opt out.

The reason he might choose not to do that is because if a couple or three other WRs evolve into what look to be top WRs, he might go 20th instead of 5-8.

There is no doubt that Chase would be highly thought of if he did opt out. But, there is something to lose.

Lol, zero chance in that happening. Scouts already see Chase as a perennial pro bowl type WR. There is not a thing a WR could do, that they would propel them over Chase. People legit thought Chase would go first at WR a few months back if he was eligible.

Micah Parsons of Penn St just opted out.

I wouldn't be surprised if Chase does as well. He's easily a top 5/10 pick.

No reason to play

Why even ask this question? Why Chase? Why not the whole team? Maybe you should worry about the whole team opting out. It is possible, you know.

None of you people PLAY football, you just WATCH football as spectators. None of you have anything to lose by watching football. None of you are going to be drafted by the NFL and given multi million dollar contracts. None of you know what Chase is thinking or what Chase might do. Chase doesn't catch balls for any of you, doesn't care what any of you think and when it comes to his career and you, none of you matter. It's odd that you think that you do. Chase plays because he's good at it and knows he can become a multi millionaire. When it comes down to that, and you, guess what matters. Oh and there is no, we did this, we won a national championship, we will beat this team and that team. You can defend this logic anyway you like and still be wrong. You didn't play the game, you weren't drafted, you didn't accomplish anything, you didn't win a Heisman, Biletnikoff or Thorpe. You watched and spectated while drinking beer and eating pizza. Odd that some of you think ( or act like) you're part of a high level team. At the end of the day , Chase will do what's best for Chase, Not what you think he should do.

That type of player? There’s absolutely nothing wrong with electing to to play under these circumstances

Please point to the part of my post that said that it was? Don’t imply to know how I feel about the situation because I am fine with anyone sitting out for any reason they choose not just COVID.

My point was from everything I have read and seen about Chase I find him more of a Devin White type player that if he is healthy and there is a game where he can put on the LSU uniform he is going to do it instead of a Greedy Williams type that way out a bowl game. Both types are fine and I understand both but they are two different types of players.
