Is there a possibility for a regional?

Besides winning the SECT, is there a world we could get into a regional? They say the magic number is 13-14 wins. If we win the series vs Florida, and win 2 more in Hoover, is there a possibility of getting a 3 seed in someone’s regional?

If you want to watch the regionals? Yes
If you want to watch LSU in the regionals? No

Yes, but people will tell you they don’t want LSU to make a regional for some idiotic reason

There's a higher chance of Livvy Dunne inviting any one of us to be a guest on Baywatch where we play the role of her long lost lover who returns, striking up a hot and heavy romance with her, complete with a sex scene inside one of the lifeguard towers at midnight then we get caught in a reef while diving for very valuable native sea urchins that are prohibited from being taken out of the waters of California and she has to be the one to make the rescue, leading to the final once and for all goodbye.

I would say, old chap... maybe 'bout a one in a hundred chance of getting a regional slut for this team

Let's say we sweep UF and win 4 games in Hoover, what then?

We'd have to score 20 runs a game because I have no clue how you manage the UF series and then an SEC tourney that starts Tuesday for LSU.

We don't have the (healthy) talent to make a run into Omaha at this time. I think the program would be better off if they made a regional and got bounced in the regional final and had a full portal calendar to themselves (amongst the elite programs) than they would losing in a Super somewhere.
In a perfect world, we don't lose for the rest of the season. Just trying to create a semi-realisticish perfect scenario.

Brother, they have 9 wins in conference play all year. You really think there is a chance they reel off 7 straight ?

Besides winning the SECT
Not really no
Sweeping UF would put us at 12-18 with an RPI around low 50 range; we arent improving that enough in the SECt in my opinion to get selected at large. 12-18 is already awful and rarely would ever get an SEC team in (certainly hasnt recently) and our RPI is way way out of at-large range even in the 40s if it got there.
We need to win the SECt, full stop
You can tell Jay is thinking the same by the simple fact we dont have a starting pitcher announced for tonight and is starting Paz and Cowan the next 2 games (no Schmidt, no Evans).

a good case was last year
Texas A&M had a RPI of 50 in 2025
Texas A&M finished 30-26 11-19 in the sec and won 2/3 SEC tourney games beating Miss St and Auburn and losing to LSU in sec tourney - LSU and Auburn were 4 and 5 in last year's RPI
that wasn't enough
did Livvy have to perform mouth to mouth on the rescue?
I'll be doing bases loaded coverage this regional season with no one to pull for

I’m curious as to how you think it’s possible.
Because it’s not

Well somebody's gotta come up with new Baywatch plots, might as well be me!
