I'm as mad as the next person at the SEC refs - they are a freaking Joke! But the reality is we had multiple opportunities to control our destiny in the aTm game....starting with the final drive. Get a first down, game over.

Downvote me all you want, but i think long term the victim mentality of "The SEC is constantly screwing us" is not good for the players, the program, the fans, or for recruits.

Like the saying goes - don't get mad, get even. The only way get even is channeling the frustration into motivation to work harder, get better, and stomp the living shite out of them when they come to death valley next year.

I think it def will. Nationally, it is becoming a joke. Even though I feel we got totally jobbed, we need to move on.

Absolutely...most of the country really did not pay a lot of attention to the game (outside of the ridiculous amount of points score)...however, there is a heck of a lot of talk about how our fanbase has become a bunch of whiners.

Constant whining about officiating is a loser mentality and will start to affect our recruiting pretty quickly.

I agree. I say this every year when we lose to Bama and inevitably half the board goes off on their tin foil hat Bama conspiracies. This year it was particularly embarrassing as there were billboards and air signs flown weeks before the game and then they just embarrassed us at home.

If LSU could look inwards and truly fix the glaring issues we have on offense and defense we wouldn't be losing "because of the refs".

It's embarrassing imo. No fanbase seems to whine like ours

Maybe Saturday was the kick in the nuts needed to develop some urgency and a killer instinct..and that has to start at the top.

I think you are right. Besides getting a victim mentality, at least in the fan base if not with the team and staff, it makes us look like habitual whiners to the sports world at large.

It shouldn't be all about LSU. There have been game changing decisions by officials across the SEC, but also in other conferences. The problem is that not all conferences have equally qualified refs, and it is possible that not all are honest and above board. I have thought for a long time that officiating should be taken out of the hands of the conferences and governed by the NCAA with strict standards. This would at least take out the economic incentive for favoritism and expose egregious errors to a wider audience.

Perpetual victims never stand up.

Always good to shine the light on the cockroaches.

Nationally I think the viewers are smart enough to see what transpired in that game to know LSU is not just whining as victims.

The media hates LSU, the SEC hates LSU, other schools hate LSU, and some of our own fans hate LSU. It reminds me of Miami back in the day. I say embrace the hate and screw everybody else.

I 1000% agree with this.
Ditto for the muffed punt.

I am not one to believe the SEC has it in for us, but if I were I would wonder what affect all those billboards had on the A&M officiating crew.

Common sense would tell me we pissed off the powers to be and they paid us back.

The victim mentality is nothing but a complete fricking embarrassment for the players and coaches on this team as well as the sane fans.

It’s no different than the pussy arse victim mentality that a large portion of the population in this country has today. It screams “I’m a fricking loser and I’m incapable of helping myself”.

Demand a better product on the field, it’s that simple. Screaming at the sky, putting up billboards, and melting down on the internet is about the most cringeworthy and ineffective thing ever.

Whew!! I feel better

If there truly was an organized effort by SEC officials to screw LSU it eventually would come out. Do people seriously believe that all these SEC refs are uber loyal to their leadership? Hell, no, they are people doing a job. People get pissed at their employers all the time. If it was such a conspiracy then all it would take is one disgruntled employee to blow the whistle. People who believe this also believe our government is actually able to hide UFOs from us too...let it go, be better than your opponent, win the game.
