Is the Rustic Tap still the LSU bar in Austin?

Will be in Austin for a weekend this fall and want to watch the game with fellow Tigers.

I believe so. Haven’t been in years but it looks like it’s still open and they serve crawfish so it seems like a good bet.
Shoal Creek Saloon is THE LSU bar. I’d go there if it were me.

Austin is a cool place to spend a weekend. Definitely not a huge CFB town in my experience. Nothing like majority other SEC towns.

Lil Easy on the East side is also an LSU bar that is more chill than Rustic Tap.

Yes, if you want to watch with mainly Tiger fans with sound on and playing on the main screens.
Chalmers will have the biggest college football crowd. UGA alumni chapter has their watch party there.
I believe Armadillo Den has LSU ties as well.

It's a bar in a place that isn't Baton Rouge where LSU fans gather to watch LSU games. Pretty self explanatory.

For the most part yes, I’ve gone at times when UT had home games and it was packed with UT fans watching their noon game, when we had an afternoon game. Night games tend to be better there. Shoal creek and lil easy are also good options.

Not much of a reason, think it somewhat organically happened a decade ago and the owner leaned into it and started doing some LSU branded merch and LSU/cajun food items and have gone pretty hard for game days at times. Alumni group usually uses there to do events and game days.
They learned quick they could juice the menu prices too, it’s 9 dollar beer night every night there now

I you are ready to party and be in and around the Austin nightlife go to Rustic Tap. Tex Mex Bar Food for eats.
If you wanna be around a darken pub with a bunch of friends from Louisiana go to Shoal Creek. And they have good Louisiana style food.
