I am not talking about what might happen in the post season. I am talking about justifying our current high ranking. Of course on paper it looks like we deserve it, but in realitly at this point in the season do we really deserve it? I see us as a current 15 to 20 ranked team.
I'm willing to bet you have not seen many other college baseball teams play. So how do you know if they are better?
Every top team has some bad midweek losses. Get some facts before posting.
And the only thing that counts is the postseason.

Its very obvious he doesn't really follow college baseball if he thinks LSU is mediocre. I guess the SEC is just a weak baseball conference.

The fact remains that GREAT teams show their dominance when tested and every other current top 15 team has more than 1 series sweep and we have none. In the post season there is no room for winning 2 out of 3!!!!!

since the postseason is double elimination, there's actually plenty of room for winning 2 out of 3.

In the post season, there IS NO ROOM FOR WINNING TWO OF THREE...except in the Super Regional and College World Series of course.
And winning 2 of 3 on the road in consecutive weekends is pretty damn impressive.

sig dibs, you do realize we could win it all if we win 2 out of 3?

You really didn't say that, did you? Super Regional is best of 3 series. The CWS final is best of 3 series.
The regional and first part of CWS is double elimination. That means you can lose one game and still be champs.
I would log off in shame if I were you.

Please explain our in-state losses when we won our NCs.
I'm pretty sure we went undefeated those seasons and won every game by 10 run rule.

With that last statement, i'm seriously done with you. You obviously just started watching college baseball. Go back to LSU football, its gonna start up soon.

You mentioned that you could win the College World Series winning 2 out of 3 games. How many teams in the last 10 years have lost a game (pre-championship game) in Omaha and still won the championship. Here is the answer...1 1 in 10 years!!! Wow, great argument.

Seriously, we have not looked dominate in a single SEC series, granted we have some good wins? But do you actually believe the team right now is a top 5 team. Especially considering the consistent mid week losses to instate schools?
Call into the Score 1210AM between 4 and 6pm. You will be the best caller ever.

You really need to start following college baseball nationally to get a better idea of how good we are.
this is the key.
i think most people equate baseball to football or basketball where u go through a season with 1-2 losses(football) or 5-6 losses(basketball) and you are considered the top team
Baseball is much different,

Not an expert, but I think you may be referring to advancing to the championship game/series.
Three champions since the best 2 of 3 format for the championship lost at least one of the games.
