series of books

a series of books but this single movie, like harry potter is just one of them.
1. The Last of the Mohicans
2. A Man Called Horse
3. Windtalkers

honorable mention: Pathfinder
could have been better but liked the story

Dances with Wolves is a good movie and definitely worthy of being anyone's favorite, but I'm not a huge Costner fan.

Louis is the least of my concerns at this point. In fact I thought him to be horribly overrated during his stay here in Baton Rouge. I am more concerned because of Ross and Matulus. I honestly just don't think Ross has what it takes to play at a championship level. Matulus on the other hand I think can develop into a great player. Berrtucini I am not going to lie I cannot stand. He is a gimmick pitcher and once the other lineup figures him out he is effectively worthless. Lastly Matty Ott I'm my opinion still hasn't proven himself as the dominate "Trevor Time" pitcher alot of people see him as. He can change that I think with some strong showings early in the season.

oh my...I guess opinions truly are like arse holes.

Flynn and Mauck were two of the best Qbs in LSU history....

Depends on one's perspective of "the best QB's in LSU history." Are we talking top 10 starting QB's, any QB to ever play, etc. Just on the top 10 starting QB's point, I think fans would have a hard time keeping both Mauck and Flynn out of the top 10 simply because they have rings. I see them being ranked between 6-10 but I would definitely have a hard time keeping them out of the top 10. So, to say both are two of the best to ever play at LSU is not so far fetched.

tough call.
but I'd have to give a very slight edge to Flynn because he seemed to through a prettier pass than Mauck, imho.

Give Shimpf a little more time to work out the rust in left field before putting him out to pasture.

Why are they so scared of Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns.

I for one can understand how mercy or pity can be mistaken for fear...

Which QB and which RB was/is better at LSU? Give at least one reason as to why you picked who you picked.

why does it really matter? :dunno:
just because someone has the opinion that flynn was better than russell or hester better than scott does not mean they are racists.

championships aside, history will show that russell and scott had better stats than flynn and hester.

if i was picking an all lsu team, i'd have a very hard time picking any qb over russell.

at rb, it would be hard to keep hester off the team but he wouldn't sniff playing time at rb unless the 7,8 guys ahead of him got hurt. Scott would probably be right behind Faulk.

FSU's been pretty hot. I don't think I would want them in Baton Rouge.

If FSU continues on its hot streak, they will not be a #2 seed in a regional against a top 8 seed.

How many teams in the last 10 years have lost a game (pre-championship game) in Omaha and still won the championship. Here is the answer...1 1 in 10 years!!! Wow, great argument.

Not an expert, but I think you may be referring to advancing to the championship game/series.

Three champions since the best 2 of 3 format for the championship lost at least one of the games.

Seriously, we have not looked dominate in a single SEC series, granted we have some good wins? But do you actually believe the team right now is a top 5 team. Especially considering the consistent mid week losses to instate schools?

Call into the Score 1210AM between 4 and 6pm. You will be the best caller ever.

I think the whole jinx thing is way overblown.

Agreed but there is a correlation.

You don't think David Toms has any chance to win the Masters??

Well, not this year anyway...

I admit I was overly harsh saying no chance.
Toms is one of my favorites and as an LSU fan, I'd love to see Toms win the Masters, US Open, and every tournament he plays in for that matter. However, I do not think his swing holds up well under pressure (neither does his putter for that matter) and that is why he hasn't routinely contended in majors. Although, I think he has a better chance of winning the Masters than he does a US Open.
Toms is a two time winner of the par three contest and nearly broke the "jinx" in 2003.

If he shoots 70 today, he wins. If he shoots 66/67, he wins going away.

Way to go out on a limb with that one...

Tiger's best opening round score is 70, on three occasions...coincidently, 1997, 2001, 2002...His opening round in 2005 was 74.

I doubt he shoots under 70 today, possible, but he hasn't done it yet (maybe he's due). In his four wins, he's been 69 or better in both rounds 2 and 3. He has not won the Masters when either round 2 or 3 are over 69.
After a couple practice rounds and then playing on Thursday, I think I'd have a better than average chance at breaking 100.
Double bogey on every hole would be 108 and I'd like to think I could do a little better than that.

Honest assessment:
I would be okay tee to green. I'd hit a lot of fairways and at least be around the green or on it. Once on or around the green, holy crap....The key for me breaking 100 will be avoiding 4 putts.
recorded but haven't watched yet.

was it the series finale or just for the season?

pretty sure I saw series finale on the promo.

Who really wants to win...

Posted by Colonel Ticonderoga on 4/8/09 at 3:42 pm
The Masters Par 3 Tournament?

Seriously...

Maybe someone who has no shot at winning the main event, like some of the older legends, Nicklaus, Palmer, Player or someone like David Toms or Justin Rose.

The Field

Top five from the field to win over Tiger:
Phil Mickelson
Retief Goosen
Sean O'Hair
Robert Karlsson
Rory McIlroy
1. U.S. Open - Golf
2. The Masters
3. The Open Championship (aka British Open)
4. The Ryder Cup
5. The Player's Championship

I'm so glad you were interested in our team's history!! That's really cool, especially since the "Tigers" is a name that is equally rooted in rich history of the region around LSU. Oh wait....
