Not an expert, but I think you may be referring to advancing to the championship game/series.

Three champions since the best 2 of 3 format for the championship lost at least one of the games.

Well, not this year anyway...

I admit I was overly harsh saying no chance.
Toms is one of my favorites and as an LSU fan, I'd love to see Toms win the Masters, US Open, and every tournament he plays in for that matter. However, I do not think his swing holds up well under pressure (neither does his putter for that matter) and that is why he hasn't routinely contended in majors. Although, I think he has a better chance of winning the Masters than he does a US Open.
Toms is a two time winner of the par three contest and nearly broke the "jinx" in 2003.

After a couple practice rounds and then playing on Thursday, I think I'd have a better than average chance at breaking 100.
Double bogey on every hole would be 108 and I'd like to think I could do a little better than that.

Honest assessment:
I would be okay tee to green. I'd hit a lot of fairways and at least be around the green or on it. Once on or around the green, holy crap....The key for me breaking 100 will be avoiding 4 putts.

The Masters Par 3 Tournament?

Seriously...

Maybe someone who has no shot at winning the main event, like some of the older legends, Nicklaus, Palmer, Player or someone like David Toms or Justin Rose.

Not sure I know an Eddy Fuller that played for Leesville and LSU but I have met an Eddie J. Fuller on a couple of occasions...

He and Kevin Mawae are very humble and down right excellent human beings. Both are truly great representatives of Leesville and LSU.

Before she was Lady T. but while we were dating, she met Kevin on a couple of occasions and he was always extremely nice to her. Even if I had never met Kevin myself, the way he treated my wife would be enough to say he's good people.

The couple times I met Eddie were pretty nice. Though he will be remembered for greater things, I will always remember Eddie saying (not exact quote): I would love to get more playing time but if Buffalo wants to pay me $300,000/yr to sit on the bench because I have a jammed finger, that will work for me...

We have some depth at RB for '09 but next year's recruiting class will be very critical for the RB position. Plus, one or two of those recruits will be needed for PT.

Hopefully, losing Pratt and signing only one RB will not hurt us too bad the next couple of years. 2010 better be the year of the RB for LSU recruiting

I'm not reading this whole thread.

But I'm curious, does anyone know how Darren Myles feels about this?
Maybe he was in on it?
Maybe he committed to Tenn thinking JJ would commit to LSU?
Maybe he feels screwed committing to Tenn instead of LSU?
