No wtf at all. You telling me he didn't fight a nagging ankle injury most of the year?

Even though he played most games, he was nowhere near the back he was the previous year, from an explosive standpoint. That, combined with the Key deal, made an impact on the overall season, imo. The two biggest stars.

Difference is Malik was a first year starter. It would be completely different if he started for 2+ years and he hovered around 50%.

If you look at his high school stats, he was a QB with a 55% overall completion %. You look at his full year as a starter, 55% overal completion %. He will always be a QB that hovers around 55% and there is no changing that.

You look at Joe Burrow high school stats: 68.6% completion %. College in limited duty: 74.4%.

You are either an accurate QB or you are not. It is what it is.

Miami’s defense is not just good because of turnovers, they cause a lot of pressure and play in opponents back fields a lot, they did lead the country in sacks and were top 5 for tfls. The secondary was good for most games last year but imo we absolutely didn’t play up to our standard the last 4 games for sure. Just like LSU I’m telling you it’s a bunch of nfl talent on the defense.

Again, short to intermediate passing game eliminates opponents d in your backfield as well as any and all pressure from them.

You look at 2001 when Ole Miss Beat LSU, short to intermediate passing game. Notice the Average Per attempt and average per completion.
