Jlee was better than jj and didn't, so I'll give you a second to rethink that.

Over/under on how many games it takes with Mett starting for Rantards to start bitching about how the better QBs are sitting on the bench.

No question that Mett is better than JJ. Mett can make reads and deliver the ballaccurately. He also proved he can lead a team as he did at Butler CC. Mett is a QB; not an athlete who plays at the QB position (JJ).

It may take a while. I think the first bitch fest will be when Rivers is the first off the bench in mop up duty before Kiel.

IMO i think so, but i guess time will tell. But if he is "that" much better why wasn't he used in BCSNCG?

Because it it wouldn't have been fair to Jj

Why would Mett start over 2 senior qb's?

Mett threw a touch down this year, very early on in garbage time. I forget who it was against. Anyhow, it was like a 28 yard strike to the back of the end-zone. Didn't look particularly special or anything, but I did think when he threw the ball, "JJ could NEVER make that pass." Long story short, its going to be nice to have a real QB leading this team again after these 4 years of painful sub-mediocrity at the position.

actually he could. problem is, he could also throw the next 3 passes everywhere but to the vicinity of the intended receiver.

Miles was still recruiting his bro so he essentially gave up when the game didn't turn out right rather than going to either of the other QBs, JL or Mett. It was a dumb decision and not worthy of a $4-mil coach.

If the defense has to respect the pass, the running game will be even better. Saban knew that JJ passing would not beat Alabama. Miles played into Alabama's strength in the biggest game of the year.

He has great size and a good arm. He throws the ball on time in limited action. To be better than Jefferson, he needs to be able to go through his progressions. To be better than Lee, he needs to stand tall in the pocket and be willing to take a hit. The fact is we will see next year, but I think he will be a good quarterback. The question is who is going to catch the ball.

I'm tired of hoping for QB play to not lose the game, like we've had with JJ/JL.

JL didn't play not to lose.. I don't know what the hell you are talking about.
