This was a tough year and I don't really think I can get used to 7-5 or 8-4 or worse every year. It also hurts seeing Ole Miss and Alabama rising the top of the SEC West. It's almost bizarre. LSU needs to reclaim top dog status next year.

What are some of the questions facing next year's team?

1. Will the DC(whoever it may be) be able to restore the defense?

2. Will our QB play improve?

3. Will our draft-eligible players return?

4. Who will emerge on the defensive line alongside Rahim Alem(if RJF doesn't return)?

Depends on what changes are ahead.

I expect with the correct changes that we will be in the thick of things and in two years should be in contention for another NC title...too much talent here and coming in.

Biggest question (if we get a new DC, defense and QB should work itself out)....

- Can they make it through a VERY tough schedule?

True, I was mainly looking at things we have control over though.

1) They certainly will be better.
2) How could it be any worse?
3) Probably most of them.
4) Drake Nevis he is a Stud and should be starting.

More importantly ask the same questions about Al.,Ga., and FlA..

LSU is in great position to regain their status next year if reasonable changes are made to the DC spot.

If by 10 wins you mean burst on the scene, then yes.

If Miles hires a solid DC, LSU will be playing for another NC.

10 wins will be good next year, we will still have a young QB. I look for way better defensive play if not we are in for long year.

I think with the addition of Shep, running the RP plays like last yr. JJ or Lee will start and we will be MUCH better.

JJ and Lee have hit rock bottom this yr, now they can only go up from here. JJ not as much as Lee.

+100000

I think quarterback play will continue to hamper our offense. We just need someone who won't give the other team points.

I think a lot of the problems at the end of the year were mental. Hopefully the Tiger's come into next year (and the bowl game for that matter) with a renewed drive to win...I think our defense started to really think they sucked, and just started to get worse because of it.

Really we are one year away but we should win 9 or 10 games next year.

The next 2 to 4 years will be special there is no time in LSU's history that we will have that kind of talent on the field.

Quarterback play can only get better...

Couple that with better defensive scheming and execution, and the Tigers are a force again.

It also goes without saying that a good record against conference opponents catapaults us right back into the rankings.

well, if you win 10 games, and playing in the SEC, you are playing for a NC.

1) they cant possibly be worse than this year

2) see 1

3) im guessing most of them will unless shite between players/coaches gets even worse after the game

4) garrett green

Next year's QB play is the most crucial. We can have an average defense and still win the SEC. We need a smart and clutch performer who can come through under pressure in big games.

If we can turn the turnover margin back into our favor next year we definitely win at least 2 or 3 more games next year than this year.

We also seemed to be lacking leadership from key players this year. Some players need to step up next year.

This is a very good description of the problem.

We can't have an average defense and win the SEC.

Furthermore, LSU should have one goal every single year and that is the National Championship. End of story. No doubt that it will seldom happen.

But settling for an average defense is a sure sign of mediocrity and will lead to a new coach w/in 2 years.
