2010 - Won World Series, 2011 - No playoffs, 2012 - Won World Series, 2013 - No Playoffs, 2014 - Won World Series, 2015 - No playoffs.

Are we overreacting to an off nominal season & does consistency really matter if Championships are won every few years?

LSU baseball should never be in this position. Not saying you should win every year but this is ridiculous

Jay Johnson may be a boom or bust coach. He had some down years between world series appearances at Arizona too. It's actually a pretty common trait among innovators.

Consistency is important too and I think he'll learn a lot about talent evaluation from this season.

Did the Giants have their worst season in decades during those odd numbered years?

Then no
