Here is what any of us are qualified to do:
Cheer like hell for the players and coaches at LSU. Express our individual "feelings" about the results each week / end of season.
That is all. We are not qualified to set parameters for filling a coaching vacancy. We are not qualified to determine what Linehan's role will be or if he is good at that. We just aren't. A lot of fans WANT to be. And, they do the "post hoc ergo propter hoc" logical fallacy:
"LSU hired an unknown young ginger coach and the offense was amazing. The next coach needs to be an unknown young ginger!"

Stylistically and pedigree-wise as offensive coordinators, Linehan is much closer to Cameron. Much, much closer to Cameron.

I wasn't even slightly concerned about this hire, until you put it like that! I thought about it for a split second and realized that the answer was yes. If Linehan takes over from E, I'm worried. Emsinger is still the OC, having worked with Brady for one epic season, so I'll trust O and E to keep this train rolling.

Brady has an undefeated season, won an SECCG, and CFP Natty.
