You mean his players having the moral courage to stand/ sit for something they believe in? Even if it's unpopular. Yeah, y'all need to grow up and realize the greatness of this country is a freedom of choice.

Does freedom of choice include my choice to voice displeasure at their decisions?

They play the national anthem before the teams are on the field in college

Exactly what I was thinking. LSU's band plays it on the field while the team is still in the locker room.

speaking up for social justice

What is the social justice they want? Go you know what they are asking for?

they don't even know what they're asking for. he speaks up about oppression while wearing a Castro shirt.

bring awareness? has there EVER, with all the nonsense CONSTANTLY on the airwaves has there EVER been more general awareness about any of this?

he'd do a lot better supporting a nonprofit or a senator like Rand Paul or (god forbid) Dick Durbin who wants to push criminal justice reform.

push for the end of the patriot act, the end of no-knock raids, the end of civil asset forfeiture.

sitting for the national anthem does nothing but harden your enemies and close the ears of those who might otherwise listen. this whole thing is dumb.

he's got a right to do it, but it's misguided and stupid.

plus, he just wanted to be able to say he got cut for his skin, not because he sucks. it's unfortunate that Reid got involved, but he's shortsighted too.

What's his stance on players speaking up for social justice?

How the hell should we know? I haven't heard him say one way or the other how he feels about it.

If Gamble dos it he might not see the field again. If Harris or Fournette did it, Miles would be forced to discipline them quietly while trying to seem supportive to the media.

This website is obsessed with this. There's about 5 boards that's talking about this nonesense. My only option right now is the M/TV board. He'll maybe even the Soccer Board is a better option

They can protest all they want but doing it towards the flag is misguided. The flag stand for the idea of unity and freedom a freedom that they had to be able to sit down during the national anthem without any chance of prosecution. You have a problem with the government or the way it is run protest that not the main symbol of the one thing that you want to accomplish. They should actually be using the flag as their protest saying this means equality and freedom. The flag does not stand for the american government or any part of it. The flag stand for America and the idea of freedom.

He dismissed them after multiple failed drug tests or other multiple infractions. He has never dismissed a star player over something minor. TM7 failed many drug tests before he was dismissed.
