I thought he would get there, but he appears to have trouble hitting professional pitching. He hasn't been exactly burning it up the past couple of years. Kind of surprised he hasn't at least gotten a utility role somewhere. I wonder how long he'll give it, and they'll give him.

why did you think this? Not trying to be mean, but he has very few characteristics that made me think he even had a chance of making the majors

Mainieri recruits little squirrels. He doesn’t like his players to be much taller than him. He has an affinity for miniature position players. A team of 5-star squirrels can win a lot of college games. Squirrels don’t fare well in the big leagues unless they are Caribbean squirrels.

He was not all that great at hitting college pitching.

He was up at AAA for Memphis Redbirds in 2019. The Cardinals aren’t really deep in the middle infield. Would’ve never though he had a shot to make it up there.

He got closer than you ever will, so there's that.

Austin Nola was in his 30s before he made it. Not saying it will happen for Kramer, but he has time.

Do you think he could do better than Jim Hawthorne?

Yes and pun intended, when he was hot, he hit a little better in the clutch but always reminded me of Bethea. Similar careers so far.

Well maybe I was wrong but he was a decent fielder, and was pretty hard-nosed out there. He wouldn't have been the first hard-nosed, scrappy, but light-hitting utility man ever to catch on somewhere in the bigs.

He has played a little over 2 seasons in the minors and made it up to AAA. I would say that’s pretty impressive. Did I think he would make the Majors? No, but it also wouldn’t surprise me either.
