He is not an elite passer in any phase of the game, but of all his passes, he does throw a pretty good deep ball. Closest comparison to an NFL QB would be Tebow with the Broncos. Not the best passer, but runs like a bull and is a winner.

He has a rocket arm. Very bad touch with even worst accuracy. He runs the option pretty well and doesn't turn the ball over much. I am thinking he has the keys because: a) They want someone to manage the game so they can pound the rock. He doesn't turn the ball over much. or b) He has some pictures of Les Mile fricking a goat.

i believe it's a sheep

I'm assuming you missed the game yesterday.

You do realize he only threw one "deep ball" last night right?

is this joke time ? JJ is a one read QB. He does throw the ball well if that one WR is open , but if he has to make an adjustment , its over , deer in head lights. He had 22yds passing yesterday , 22, really . I know some ppl will say he had 30 , but he got 8yds for that desperaton flip to Spencer Ware . I think I heard him scream like a girl on that one . It was a nice job onhis part to make something happen though .

You can say what you want , he has been a quality qb for us during his time here . I respect him for what he has done , but , he only has one game left in his life at QB and I hope he goes out in style .

I won't confuse JJ w/ Robert Griffin throwing the long ball...

Still support JJ & J Lee..they are LSU's QB's with their strengths & weaknesses...COMBINE BOTH QB's skills/strengths and you have a great QB IMO.

We don't have to wait until draft day - not for you, not for me, and not for JJ.

I guess over 60% completion percentage explains this. Good call . And he has shown some touch this year...now last year his touch was non existant..but this year it has improved..he also reads a defense better(which is decent overall) and can audible into an option instead of putting a hand behind his back and switching the gap...just more sets to run out of with Jefferson and Les like the option.. 9 total TD's 1 turnover..Really dont understand why everyone complains

He does a lot of things well and is the best QB we have. I was just surprised to hear that elite deep ball quote. I certainly didn't want this thread to be about laughing at JJ, my bad...

combined with his strenth and running ability, and depending on the NC game, I could see him around the 4th or 5th round in the draft. Jefferson is not an elite passer obviously, but he is still one of the best QB's in the SEC, as is Lee.

perfect analogy

JJ is the next Quincy Carter. In six years (or less) JJ will be in Little Rock or Des Moines desperately clinging to hope and trying to get another shot at the NFL as he slings it around some cheap, indoor arena football league. Les Miles (because JJ still has 'The Pictures'), is constantly bailing out JJ and eventually helps him land a gig as a high school assistant coach somewhere in Idaho or North Dakota.

He throws a pretty deep ball. Nice Pretty spiral as it is overthrown or underthrown.

his deep ball along with a lot of his passes seem to be half a second too late coming out of his hand

JJ is a ver fine athlete. He isn't elite in any phase of his game.

That said, he has improved.
