Archie is judging participant at a QB camp, not a player at game time. Look at the great passing stats from yesterday.

yeah i got nothing against either of our senior QB. They have both contributed to our success. Takes talent and guts to get to play for an elite team which i believe the tigers to be. My response was to the elite deep downfield passer? Sorry but no way does he fit that description. Wish that it was true. Best way to prove my point is do you think all these teams that stack the box with run defense would do so if they were concerned about elite deep downfield passing threat from JJ.

Nice Spiral just not accurate... NFL scouts should look at his spiral not his accuracy...

Oh so you know more than a guy who has played in the NFL and coached two kids who are also in the NFL...one who is argueably the best QB to ever touch a football...

Rantard's Football Knowledge > Archie Manning

were you talking about Jarett Lee or JJ?

I think both throw good deep balls...even though JJ definitely looked terrible yesterday.

Is this a serious question? He threw for 30 yards yesterday and that isnt even his worst career passing day!!!!

Teams haven't stacked the box that much when JJ is in the game. Our rushing stats reflect this.

Obviously you havent watched the defensive alignments when JJ has been in the game. Or does all 11 men have to be in the box instead of only 8 or 9 for you to consider the box stacked when JJ is in?

They did yesterday.

He can throw a nice deep ball but hasn't really demonstrated that he can put it in tight spots or hit a moving receiver consistently. I don't think he is an elite downfield passer but you don't need to be one to be successful in college.

No. Teams stacked the box way more when Lee was starting. This is how you go from 4.3 ypc as a team to 6.7.

Dude has a lot to learn as a passer (dude he learn anything at Manning passing Acamedy? definitly not), terrible throwing mechanics which is why he overshoots receivers, holds the ball too long taking needles sacks, doesn't go through his progressions like JR. Did I leave anything out, oh yeah, take off and run the damn ball, you know how to run JJ, you had ample oportunities to take off and run when you could't find a reciever. That's what you do best anyways!

Really so stats are more indicative of the box being stacked than actual game film and alignments of the defense? Have you considered that JJ started versus WKU, Arky and Ole Miss prior to Georgia not any very good rush defenses he played against till UGA

You might want to actually look at film of how defenses align vs JJ.

Defenses creep up and stack the box on JJ

Teams do not respect him passing. Period.
