How are these numbers right? He’s been here 4 years not counting this year. That’s approx 120 games coming into this year.

Yea if not for him winning more natties in 4 years than 90% of baseball programs have in their history you may could make an argument he's a bad coach.

i don't know why people are freaking out over one down year, but it reminds me of 2024 all over again.

this team wasn't good and it didn't help they lost their 2 best starters and their best bat.

i don't get all the piling on Jay. it's frustrating. the season sucks. next season should be better.

This. Jay won two NC in his first 4 years. How quickly people forget. Many of these same people thought he was a genius, the second coming of Skip. Why the change? One bad season? Get real, with NIL it's going to be harder and harder for coaches to stay elite without lots of $$$. The money alone will bring other programs into contention. New world, same great coach who had a bad year. This isn't football and we're not going to throw every dollar out there at baseball. We have an elite coach with a proven track record of championships. We have our coach and we should stand behind him.

Because the majority of our fanbase is functionally retarded. Jay admitted he made mistakes building this team. Then lose 2 of your top pitcher and your best hitter and we are surprised we are bad. If anything this season is a blessing because Jay will be out for blood in the offseason. A ho hum postseason appearance with a close lose in the supers wouldn't be near the driving source this season will be for him.

Who are the coaches winning NC with average or sub par talent?

Coastal Carolina made it to the finals last year and will probably host this year.

Fire him. He's been nothing but average; anyone could've done what he's done

I'm starting to think these people are serious.

What if he’s an Eli manning type? Got two titles but overall his record and stats aren’t that impressive

The "Eli Manning type" is the "type" of guy who wins 2 titles so you haver to change your comparison from "Jay Orgeron" to something else.

He'll win 7 and they'll call him a "Robert Horry type".

Uhh Coastal was very talented lol.

The only "bad" team to win a title in the last 15 years was Ole Miss in 2022, and even that team had multiple major leaguers.

There is no way Coastal Carolina baseball should be "more talented" than LSU Baseball in ANY year.

First of all, these blanket comments about modern college athletics should not be made.

Second, I didn't say they were more talented than LSU. I said they were talented.

In 2023, UF and Wake Forest were more talented than LSU. LSU still beat them.

Well, yeah, every college athlete is "talented".

Of course, but I was responding to this post of yours, where you seemed to indicate Coastal was average to sub-par
