The overall grade for the season is still a C at best.

2nd place in the sec is a C?

Dumb.

Eh we lost games at Saint Louis and Florida because extremely sloppy play and then played horrible at Kentucky with a bunch of one on one ball. Add to that that we blew the game in the last minute of the Tech game and IMO Wade has underachieved this year so far.

There's still time to make it a great season since basketball is a postseason sport. I love me some Will Wade and he says he's taken over all of the schemes now and we've looked so much better the last couple games. I think he has a chance to get us to the second weekend of the NCAAT.

This team goes as Javonte Smart goes. Cameron Thomas, the pressure is off. You play your game, young man.

We are better off with it in Smarts hands than most on the team. He has improved a lot this year.

He has improved, but he still commits too many careless turnovers. It's not that he turns it over often. It's the way that he turns it over when he does throw it away. Watford is the same way. It's like "what is going throughb your head when you make that pass?"

ya gotta admit...the b-ball team is infuriating at times.

Basketball should get some slack. They have a new roster every year. Coach has to start over and build a team. Players have to learn to play together as a team
Next season will be no different. Smart, Watford, Thomas, and maybe Days, will be gone.
Hopefully O'Neal will return healthy.

IMO opinion Thomas is thr only NBA player out of that group and he could use another year. But, he will get drafted relatively early on potential alone.

#2 in a conference with 1 team in the top 30 RPI...seems pretty mediocre to me but I’m sure you can spin it otherwise. What grade would you give a team with an overall losing record vs Q1 NET teams?

What are you talking about? The SEC has 4 teams, including LSU, in the top 30 of the RPI and 5 in the top 40.

And newsflash, this doesn’t even mean anything since the NCAA selection committee does NOT use RPI anymore. So way to use a pointless metric (which you weren’t even right on) to make an argument.

Again, educate yourself. 3 of the top 10 NET teams currently have losing Q1 records. Only 13 of the remaining top 50 (teams 11-50) have a .500 or better Q1 record, with the majority of those at .500. Plus LSU has played more Q1 games (8) than most of those teams.

Dumb arguments are just dumb.

One thing you can't question Wade about is his ability to build a quality schedule.

Some of these "fans" have standards that are impossible to keep. We aren't going 38-0 in basketball every year and 15-0 in football every season. Some of y'all need to examine the journey we are on in these two sports, we are in good shape.

I don't disagree, but this year he had almost nothing to do with getting those Q1 games on the schedule. The game vs. SLU was originally going to be a part of a holiday tournament...that essentially fell apart. LSU fortunately, was able to head over to play SLU when it did.

The rest of the games are SEC games and the Big 12 match up selected by ESPN. However, he deserves credit for fighting to get the OM game scheduled this week. I could be wrong, but I don't think any of the other SEC schools have worked on their own to reschedule a lost game

I think he may have been the one to push the SEC office to schedule the first Ole Miss game too after both they and LSU had their games canceled.

I will watch darn near anything before basketball. But after the Super Bowl and before LSU baseball, there are a couple of weeks where I care.

Glad the tigers are doing well.

You get rewarded for playing upper quadrant games, but you have to win some too so those teams also want to schedule you.
