I said that I think the coaching this year so far has been better than the 2007 team. But the coaches did find a way to win the title so I’ll reserve full judgement to see how this season ends up. How is that hating on anyone?

No, but it's incorrect. Nick at LSU was not better than Les at LSU.

This is just stupid. Nick was a phenomenal coach at Michigan State.

I mean. You do realize they aren't playing Madden right? More goes into losses than you're pretending.

Lack of enthusiasm? That is ridiculous.

Yeah man. I really wish we would have gotten bodied by Alabama on Saturday. Dammit LSU.

Thanks

This isn't really about "defending Miles" when someone says that the best coaching job before this year was a 9-4 Saban team. That's ridiculous. So, that's why I asked you that regardless of what someone's post history is, wrong is wrong.

So your entire measure for how good a coach is will be based on national championship or not

Like PJ Fleck isn't proving to be one of the best coaches in football and he damn sure isn't going to win a title this year.

Sheesh. How myopic

and tolodo and with the browns who 1 year had best D in the league and always had highly ranked defenses with dolphins

This LSU Club is extremely well-coached. The 2011 team was horrifically coached in the national championship game, so that entire season was a stinky sh*t as far as I'm concerned. The 2007 team Pelini was atrocious in the 2 losses, but we somehow won a national title, so it's tricky. The 2 losses were absolute horrors, so I'm not going to pretend the coaching was the greatest. You wussies that prefer to pretend otherwise are thinking with your hearts instead of your brains.

This topic ruffled a lot of feathers here I see. The fact is this OP - like him or not - is 100% correct.

That's exactly what the poster was doing, and going overboard, I referred to

If you actually read my earlier post, I'm not in this thing for comparisons.

That’s how we judge les, right? Y’all hate him because he didn’t win enough titles to your liking.

The school that only has three in history and he won one of them and played for another didn’t do enough for you guys to not shite on him at every chance

I realize that. I used "we" to mean a collective and not you specifically. I obviously made my point poorly.

I didn't say a word about miles in this thread till you posted. and I really don't think it's an insult to say the greatest coach in college football history is better than Miles.

Hell I think miles would tell you that Saban is a better coach. I think his fricking wife would tell you that. It's not exactly something to be ashamed about

If we are going there, our offense is over coming out defensive short comings this year. Not many can look at this defense and say it’s well coached like a typical LSU D.

Saban literally had to build something that Had never existed at LSU. He was the catalyst for where the program is now. He's the best, I don't know how this can be argued

In a weak SEC, Saban won at a lower percentage than Miles did in a stronger SEC. Your opinion doesn't really matter and neither does mine. The facts say you're incorrect. This is not a knock on Saban. He became the greatest ever, but it happened after he left.
