is Georgias team more talented than ours?

My opinion is we have easily better wr's and o-line and d-line, as well as safety. Tight end is arguable as well as lb and rb. Knowshaun (spell) is a wonderful talent. But if he had to share carries last yr with 4 other talented backs, would he be thought of the same way? Yes hes proved himself, but i dont see how scott and murphy couldnt be as good as him. weve seen enough of scott, murphy, kw and holliday to know they have enough talent to be in the same category(especially as a unit) look at the yards per carry comparison. I give them an edge at qb...and at corner...and thats it. but thats my opinion. And as far as ga. being so great---heres a thought--they barely won against vandy by 3, scoring 20 pts. It took OT to beat bama. They beat troy by only 10 while giving up 34 pts! Got held to 12 pts in losing to sc(thats 4 field goals), and got trounced by tennessee. Yes they had some good wins and every team has off games and the sec is bound to give u a loss u didnt expect, but come on.....i dont think they are a team we shudnt beat in our back yard even with a new qb. Shud be a competitive game. Over all i think we are more talented though.
whats funny is if we had flynn or rp back we'd be thought of as an offensive juggernaut with a suffocating d that can overcome slight corner experience problems.
Lose a qb and now we are lost at qb with questions on d.......

Well, unlike last year, all this talk can be decided on the field

Talent wise, we are very close in all three phases of the game. I give them a slight edge in the mental preparation department. Their schedule contains a stretch of @LSU, Florida, @UK, and @Auburn. Ouch!

Yes in swimming and Gymnastics but not in football. They are however a lot more overrated

No, and we got the hardware to prove it.
BTW: for the recruiting GEEKs out there, over the past 4 years
LSU= 3.63 stars
UGA= 3.59 stars

Probably about even, but LSU will be the best team in Tiger Stadium when we get a hold of the Dawgs

I think the difference will be at qb. There's is experienced, ours, not so much.

We are more talented. That doesnt mean we will have a better season or beat them though.

true----doesnt mean we wont either. our coaching and home field plus our having more talent should do that

ga is over--------ratedddd

I spoke with 2 GA fans today that think they are going to waltz into Tiger Stadium and roll us.

Georgia will be more talented at QB and starting RB IF Stafford and Moreno stay healthy through the season. With either of them hurt they have a problem. Assuming that Georgia does come in to Death Valley healthy I'd say the starting team talent is fairly even but give the edge to LSU for home field, team depth, offensive coordinator, and Moffit's conditioning program.

There's some delusion in these posts. First, the initial poster pointed out some shakiness in their 2007 results. Two thoughts (1) Kentucky/Arkansas and (2) has no bearing on 2008.
As pointed out by many, they have an elite college QB and we have a first year starter. That's HUGE.
OK, getting that out of the way and being objective: LSU is as talented as Georgia. But Georgia is more experienced than LSU.

There is no national publication or sports network that is going to rate LSU above Ga. when both teams have similar talent but Ga. has a proven QB and LSU does not.
Actually, I think LSU's talent is superior to that of Ga outside of the QB position.. but that's the most important position.
I think the NC game will be between Okla and Ohio State. Both teams are loaded and play extremely soft schedules.

Oklahoma is a safe bet. They chances of them having only 1 loss is probably better than LSU, Florida or Georgia having 2 losses.
On Ohio State, they have to run through USC. So while the "soft" schedule applied in 2007, not so much in 2008. Yes, the Big Ten is down, but Michigan and Wisconsin are never slouches.

Mich and Wisc will be slouches this year. They have no chance against OSU. The key game will be USC. If OSU wins (and I think they will) they will be in the NC game.

^I truly hope USC wins that game; because if not, the Buckeyes are gauranteed a ticket to the NC game. Lord knows no one wants that again. I'm sure OSU fans don't even want it; I bet they would be tickled to deatht to go to the Rose bowl for a change.
On a side note: I hope Oklahoma doesn't make it. There as big of choke artists as OSU. OU has no porblem beating up on its big 12 foes, but they can't seem to win a BCS game.
If it comes down to 2 loss team, or one of the above mentioned... I vote for a replay of the SEC championship game as the NC.
