Dang, so I wonder how Penn St., Ohio St., Michigan, and Tennessee most games are still able to pack out over 100k fans in their stadium?

Guess we need to ask those universities how they convince their fans to come to a game over all those home attractions.

I really wish we'd just acknowledge that it's Deaf Valley and move forward with that instead of just going along with everyone thinking it's Death Valley.

Deaf Valley is much cooler and makes more sense anyway. IDK why we don't correct people.

Ohio State, Penn State, and Michigan have easily double the enrollment and probably 3x the alumni base. Tennessee fans are hungry for a title.

All 4 probably have a garbage message board where their rants don’t reach widely. Threads like this perpetuate the negatives and motivate zero to buy season tickets.

Some of the loudest games I have been to were when the stadium held 67,500 people. The stadium at its peak was Florida 2007.

My first game in Tiger Stadium.

The other schools absolutely have to be using Tiger Stadium’s habit of clearing out early as a negative recruiting talking point. I’m really surprised it hasn’t hurt us any more than it has.

Maybe we should show a map where their stadiums are, in relationship to exit roads and getting back into "normal traffic flow" again.

Tiger Stadium is stuck up against the Mississippi River, eliminating maybe 45% or more of possible exit routes. And really the only way to get across the river is the bridge at I-10, which tends to back up in regular traffic.

Most of these other stadiums, I suspect you can depart in damn near any direction, maybe even 180 degrees away from your destination, and then loop around to hit normal traffic.

We just don’t get up like we used to for smaller games. But that’s all across the country. You can debate the reasons for that at length.

Because it cost a small fortune to watch LSU beat up a cupcake

BR for the UCLA game

I imagine that game will be fairly insane with a new opponent coming to Tiger Stadium with the revenge factor on the line. The Oklahoma game's going to be nuts, too.

I took my 11th trip to BR for the Florida game and I gotta say ... I don't know how you could criticize Tigers fans. One week after the deflating loss to Alabama and the atmosphere was great, the tailgating was sensational, and the overall weekend experience was fantastic. I don't get the angst and self loathing. It's a special place. Geaux Tigers!

it was also full last time georgia came to Tiger stadium

but that was due to it being mostly red inside the stadium

IMHO, this is the main thing. If we are in the hunt, unless blowing someone out, people show up.

People know the taste of success now and won’t pay for everything that comes with a gameday, both money and time, if there’s no shot at a natty.

We have a unique perspective and higher standards- sure, it’s great and better than most every other stadium and mind-boggling and wildly entertaining for out-of-towners, but we want it to be as glorious as the best game we ever went to as a kid with dad or grandpa…
It takes more to impress us. Another example would be the French Quarter- world-famous tourist destination, visitors love it; locals say it’s trash and no good anymore

You're FOS!

Just the opposite.

NO PIM and NO DJ at all.

Tiger Stadium got its NOISE reputation from LSU fans yelling loud with their mouths, not some artificial and contrived BS!

Build It And They Will Come. (Build the old school atmosphere back)

You used to have to go to the game to watch the game. Now, we can stream any game. It has spoiled us.
