Coon and friends

Will we see Coon befriend Cthulhu (Ed House) on the next episode of Coon and Friends in order to rule all of right field and banish everyone to the dark oblivion of Left Field?

Some of my favorite lines from Saturday were, "you catch better than Tom Hanks in Philadelphia" and "Chris Brown hits harder than you".

No. It's just a group of grown men banding together to get up enough courage to yell obscenities at kids playing baseball.

Coon I'm not, repeat not, bashing you guys for what you do in the corner. Coon's corner has been around a while and I like the idea in general. It provides fun. I get it, I really do. I just don't get really loud at any event. It's just me.

And that's the beauty of it. I sat in the Corner all through my years at LSU (2000-2004) and I never made any noise either. It's just a group of guys who like to cut up and keep it casual and family friendly. The noise you hear is generally 1 or 2 guys, the rest just like to shoot the breeze and enjoy baseball. I think alot of people get caught up in thinking it is alot more formal and/or uniform than it really is.

All I know is that the right field bleachers might produce 1 funny comment out of every 100.

That's because I wasn't there.

I am fricking hilarious.

yes, i'm sure the people who's seats you were sitting in would have been happy to have "joined in" and actually sat in their seats.

I just moved down and found another seat... but all that did was kick someone else out of their seat. see I actually dont want to come across as a dick and screw people over... thats how non-douchebags think.

Not saying it was actually you or your boys, I dont know... but that was the entitlement mentality of the "coons corner"

Coon's Corner, to my knowledge, has never not let someone sit in their rightful seat if their ticket was in the actual Corner.

Has CC felt somewhat "entitled" to sit in the top/back of right field? Maybe so. But it's never reared itself in the form of forbidding people to sit in their seats (which we'd have no power to enforce anyway).

Where is Harold's Haven when you need it...

ETA: And just to reitorate the point, Coon's Corner has never beem a big deal. Except maybe one time when the NCAA tried to shut it down one year during the regionals because they feared that the name "Coon's Corner" was racist.

Leaving the Indian Mounds alone while expanding your empire = noble move IMHO.

Yes, either in 99 or 00. Southern was in our regional and the NCAA wanted us to take it down but our marshal handled up on the and let them know what we were about.
