Is anyone familiar with the parking/tailgating scene at Kentucky?

Anyone have a connection on possible RV parking permits or is there an area LSU fans will be setting to tailgate?
TIA

We’re going to Keeneland Saturday for some races and then I think we’re just going to suck it up and buy a parking pass in one of the lots next to the stadium. There are 6 of us so splitting $200 seems reasonable for parking that close.
Def interested in any LSU designated areas though.

We’d like to setup and cook a little under one tent so anyone with info would be appreciated.

Red State BBQ is a great place to hit right outside in Georgetown.

That is what we are doing. Keeneland at 11am and then to the game.

Lextran runs buses from downtown Lexington over to Kroger field all throughout the day. If you go to their website they have a list of several locations where they pick up downtown and then run you over to Kroger field. I prepaid parking for Saturday and it's only like 11 bucks.

Check out Lextran. They run shuttles from downtown to Kroger field for $1 per person each way. We are actually parking at one of the parking garages there Saturday to go to Keeneland in the morning and then the shuttle will run you back to downtown and you just hop on the one over to Kroger field for a dollar each way.

If you mean for parking, there is an app called spothero. You can find the parking garages in downtown Lexington and prepay. I did the one closest to the transit center since that one of the pick ups.

The shuttles go from downtown to Keeneland and vice versa and from downtown to Kroger Field and vice versa. But they don't run from Keenland to Kroger Field. Basically you have a switch shuttles to get from Keeneland to Kroger. Here is the lextran website. LINK

There is free RV parking for visitors if you look at the Uni. of Kentucky’s website. I can’t remember the road names of the parking lot location. It’s about 1 mile from the stadium and a shuttle to the stadium for $1 each way.

All I know is I drove up from Knoxville during before the Blue Grass Miracle and it was shocking. I’m sure a lot has changed since my one and only visit.
It was literally a stadium in the middle of a field.
Those Kentucky fans were so pissed, wasn’t easy getting out that stadium.
