re: Is anyone else worried about our kicker against Bama?

Yes, over the past several years, special teams is the one area I felt LSU had an edge over Bama. Uncharacteristically Saban seems to have a blind spot for special teams, but this year our kicker has me worried.

The xtra point was him going crazy and kicking the top of the ball. After the bobble ZVR got it down in time to kick but he had already freaked out. Will cost us in at least one game this year.
This is just a dumb bad take. The miss was completely on Ferguson and ZVR. Bad snap and bad hold (mostly b/c of the bad snap). York did not "freak" out over it. He had already started his motion of steps to make the kick. If you throw a kicker's timing and rhythm off, even the slightest, then the kick can (and usually does) go haywire. And don't give me, "well he is supposed to see that the snap or hold is bad and adjust," because no he is not. He is supposed to trust that the snap and hold will be there. That's how it works.

O says it's not in his head but it's hard to believe his technique is the issue.

He missed 1 XP against Auburn and that was a snap/holder issue, 1 vs Moo State and 1 vs Northwestern State. 45/48 on the year. For comparison Cole Tracy kicked 42 of 42 XPs last year
My main takeaway from this is that we’ve scored more regulation touchdowns through eight games this season than we did in thirteen games last year.

York has had some issues of late. I'm worried that a missed field goal or extra point may make the difference in this game.
Not me. Last year, Tracy being so good led to O and E settling for too many FGs instead of going for TDs. We’ll need sixes to beat Bama, threes ain’t gonna cut it.

Yep, and Cade is a true freshman, his leg is probably tired man.

No, he’s 11 for 13 this year with a cannon for a leg.

Yep. The game better not come down to him having to make one to win.

The good thing is that Saban always had bad kickers.
FIFY. In Saban’s last year alone we lost the Auburn and Cap One Bowl due to missed extra points.

Yes. I have very low confidence that he could hit a 40 harder to win the game.
