Sage was a five star by every publication for a reason.

What reason? Sometimes guys are overrated because of their measurables and the competition they face. Sage is lightning fast and dominated in high school. This isn't high school.

most teams exploited it last yr…Sage always seemed confused last yr and a blank stare

This is false.

More often than not he was in the right place.
And a couple of plays he gets crap for were actually just incredible plays by the WR (Muhammad play vs aTm for one)

Yes and no. It hasn’t been his primary position since coming here so there is that concern, however for all of his faults there are things he seems to be great at (which BK has alluded to).
1. He’s a good tackler/ physical
2. He’s very fast
I don’t think that he’s out there because he’s our best option at boundary corner per se. I think him being out there is more indicative of the type of defense we will see from our DBs. They’re going to be 5-8 yds off the WR and keep everything in front of them. Bend don’t break. FSU is going to move the ball, so I think House is going to give them short completions, shrink the field in the RZ and try and hold them to field goals.

Wilson had 900yds receiving last season. 60 yards vs LSU the first game.

Nabers had 1000+ last year.

The question is, "can they handle Nabers?"

If our defense's biggest problem is an All ACC CB, then we will be damn good on defense.

Moscona had a really good point about pass defense rankings on his show regarding past champions. He pointed out that most of the teams were actually not highly ranked in that category so seeing how we have brooks and major burns and sage who by the way stripped the ball out of Latus hands in last years Bama game and almost knocked out a guy 60 lbs heavier in Mason Taylor in practice the other day and who also is one of the fastest guys on the team! I hope he Starts!!

Interesting to see how they play. zone primarily? How well our corners play will go a long way in decided the outcome Sunday.
