I’m still riding out the high from the championship, but a part of me can’t help but be a bit sad for the following reason.

This is the best LSU season we will ever see. That’s not hyperbole. I don’t think I need to list out all the team and player accolades, we are all aware. It simply cannot be replicated. Not only was it historic, it was made so much sweeter because it was so unexpected. No one thought we would go 15-0 and have the best offense of all time. We ended the Bama drought which felt like was never going to happen. It all felt like a dream. Even if we were somehow able to replicate such a successful season (doubtfully), it is even more unlikely that that would occur in such an unexpected manner. The season felt like a dream and it was such a fun ride, made even better by the swag our players had.

So while I’m still super happy for what this team accomplished, I can’t help but feel a little bad because if I am honest with myself I know I will never have as much fun or enjoyment with an LSU team in my life. Anyone else feel kind of the same?

Not sad but the season is sorta like the « ...cake left out in the rain... ».

Can we bake it again?

Will we have the recipe?

That’s how I am feeling. Coaches + Players was such a synchronous formula!!

Coach O’s work ethic is truly legendary!!

It is better to have won all and not lost, than to have never won at all.

I felt some sadness just today as they discussed Burrow being the first pick in the draft. I’m going to miss what he brought

Think of the hottest chick you’ve ever been around in your entire life. Would you rather get to hit it one time or live the rest of your life thinking that maybe one day you’ll get to but it’ll only happen once.

Reality of the situation is that we likely just witnessed the greatest college football season in the rest of our lives and it wasn’t Alabama who did it, it wasn’t Texas, or Florida, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Florida State, Miami, Oregon, Penn State, Michigan, Auburn, Georgia, A&M or USC.

It was our fighting tigers. And we get to have that for the rest of our lives.

Now let’s all get shitfaced and watch the Texas replay tonight until Zion starts breaking backboard and then watch Willy Wade drop the hammer on Texas again tommorow!!!

They gave us some of the best games that will never die. No matter what happens in the future you will always be able to smile while rewatching the Bama, A&M, UGa, Okla, or Clemson games.

I'll be watching some of the hype videos in 2070 if I make it that long. This season isn't going anywhere in my mind.

LSU won 3 national championships since 2003, and played in 4 national championship games during that time. We witnessed what might never be accomplished again by ANY team. Sad? Hell no !!! Enjoy the moment.
