I don't give a rats if Chavis is coveted or not, the performance against Ole Miss was pitiful. Likewise, Cinci's defensive performance vs Illinois is not impressive at all.

really, they gave texas all they could handle. what has NW done that is so great? They haven't played a team remotly close to Texas. tech and nw will end up with the same record (or close). tech has played better teams. hell, nw didn't even play ohio state this year.

and again, let's remember tech is the big12 #3 while NU is the big10 #5

it just goes to show you how much respect they are getting.

if they win today they'll finish 7-5, dude

and if they beat OSU then OSU falls in teh polls and the big12 looks worse overall

building a D isn't that hard if you have talent

LSU's scoring defense is ranked in the top 10. the talent/experience on the defensive line isn't there (yet) which is why LSU's defense is playing bend but don't break. also that's why they haven't been able to get sacks this year. i think the defense will be really good next year, i'm not sure what to think about the offense/clock/game management though. If the offense was better, LSU wouldn’t be 8-3 right now.

nebraska is big xii #3, they won the north.

it's not like i'm making it up, and i'm not the one who made them a 8-10 point favorite. it probably has to do with their overall home record under stoops. i don't know of many teams in the country much less the big10 that have only lost 2 home games in the last 10 years. i don't know if any team (outside the top 5) would be favored if they played ou in norman.

God I wish LSU could play the shittest conference like the Big East. And if Brian Kelly wants to come down here, will you give him 5 years and no National championships and have the same love for him as you do now. I think not.

people forget how much trouble bo p had with any spread, option, or spread option attack

ole miss went OFF on LSU that year

i won't disagree too much with the point at hand. and i find it comical that people keep saying in the national media that nebraska hired pelini to come in and "stop the big 12 spread offenses..."

but ole miss only racked up a lot of yards that game. they only put up 17 offensive points. and for how many yards they gained that's really not that great...

northwestern (8 wins)

a team like Texas Tech would kill them

The Big 12 is way overrated. Northwestern nearly beat Missouri in their bowl, who was the Big 12 number 4 last year.

FWIW, Cincinnati only had 1 returning starter on defense, and they are still undefeated.

i love Kelly, but im not sure his offense would translate to the SEC.

better served at a place like ND, or the Big 12.

what offense in the SEC since Danny Wuerffel has been able to sling it around as much as they do and still win games?

he would almost certainly almost have to tweak it to make it more run oriented

Kelly has been successful everywhere he has gone, just like urban meyer. no doubt in my mind he would make it work in the SEC.

So far this year Cinci has thrown it 337 times.

Last year UF who was really successful threw it 329.

Not that big of a difference considering Cinci will probably finish with 350 that's roughly 2-4 more attempts per game.

and Pike has been hurt

he has thrown it 40 times in a game 3 different times this year. And he has missed 3 games.

Tebow has never thrown the ball 40 times in his career. Ever.
