It would be a little bit of a risk. The last time we hired a coach from a small school (Hallman from S. Miss) it didn't work out too well.

Same goes for Gary Patterson.

I'd much rather have a proven coach at a mid-level school....like Jim Harbaugh or somebody like that.

Cincy is in a BCS conference and TCU plays in a conference that has some pretty damn good teams in it.

I don't think Cincy can be compared to Tex Tech as a system school. I think Pike has more NFL potential than most at TT.

Honestly don't see much of a difference between the Big East and the MWC.

the big east is better than the ACC and likely the big10 and possibly the big12

there's at least 3 or 4 teams in the Big East that would beat LSU right now.

imagine if LSU could get an offense that explosive, that well-coached, and that precise

LOL. This is ridiculous. Every time you see a sporting event, you start a thread bringing it back to LSU coaching.

Big East is 8-7 vs other BCS teams. Two of those are vs ND, rest vs CU, Maryland et al...Best win was vs Oregon st, was Cincy
May be as good as the ACC. thats not saying much. Its no where near the B10.

who is good in the big10 this year? they have a bunch of average teams at the top who beat their horrible teams at the bottom

the big east has 2 realllly good teams, one of which is elite

1. pac10
2. SEC
3. big east
4. big10
5. big12
6. ACC

Quality of talent on the average Big East team is no where near the quality of talent on the average B12 or B10 team. Skill positions? Possibly but not across the roster. IMO a B12 or B10/Big East challenge would be ugly.

and while talent is important, all we have to do is look at LSU to see where it isn't all that

and the big10 isn't that talented outside of OSU. the big12 has UT and OU

Can't argue with that. Kelly dose a fine job at Cincy. My point is not sure he can get the talent to compete at LSU or ND

If someone can show me otherwise, will be glad to change my opinion.

recruiting at LSU is easy

cinci would beat the shite out of LSU this year, and they'd DEFINITELY beat the shite out of ND

I respect your opinion, but speaking in hypotheticals is fairly easy to do. Its a possibility, LSU isn't very good. MSU, with much inferior talent should have beat LSU.
