you said the big ten has a few average teams, and a bunch of horrible teams. that means they have no "elite" teams right? Obviously Texas is an elite team, and teams like Oklahoma State and Nebraska have a chance to win 9+ games this year and are about the same as Penn State and Iowa. Teams like Texas Tech and Oklahoma are solid and imo both are better than Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Purdue. You get past Ohio State, Iowa and Penn State and the big10 is done.

I would agree with this.

LSU isn't very good. MSU, with much inferior talent should have beat LSU.

Do you even watch football games? You seem to have them all figured out beforehand based on coaches, matchups, 40 times, offensive and defensive rankings, etc... Why would you waste your time actually watching the games?

U never know....while our D had their problems defending the spread, game to game can change. I'm not saying LSU would have won....I'm just saying you can't state WV would have won as a fact when the game never took place.

I don't think LSU fans would be thrilled with a coaching staff that allowed Illinois 250 yards of offense in the first half.

You are debating just to debate, you are not even considering the original topic.

northwestern (8 wins) and wisconsin (soon to be 9 wins)

that's #4 and 5. remember that

Big12 has Texas, then

OSU: likely 10 wins
NU: likely 9 wins

so the #4 and 5 teams in the big10 compare to the #2 and 3 in the big12

OU blows this year and it kills their entire conference

LSU has crappy coaching this is not even an issue. Cincy has a great offensive scheme but not a good defense. You would be happy with giving up 250 yards in one half to Illinois? I wouldn't. Not at all.

Kelly hasn't shown he can recruit, nor that he can put together a great defense. If you are convinced, go with it

But, i assume you just want to debate.

this is a rebuilding year on their D and they're undefeated

we have the talent to have a great D to compliment a great O

how many yards did we give up to ole miss last week in the first half? wasn't it like 350?

You keep bringing this back to LSU. Its already established LSU's present staff needs to go. This isn't debatable yet for some reason you keep going there.

Let ND take a chance on Kelly. They already went for an offense genius once, let them try again.

well chavis is a celebrated DC

building a D isn't that hard if you have talent. i don't see why you people who hate offense think it's hard to have both

UF had both last year

Ummmm.....I think even LSU's offense could hum against Illinois' defense. I'll wait and and hand out accolades after I see how Cincy fairs in bowl game.

The thing is, Pitt might be that elite team still.

I don't think Cincy would destroy LSU this season, even though I do think they are better, mostly based on the fact that LSU stayed within 10 of #1 and #2

really, they gave texas all they could handle. what has NW done that is so great? They haven't played a team remotly close to Texas. tech and nw will end up with the same record (or close). tech has played better teams. hell, nw didn't even play ohio state this year.

and? that doesn't change the fact they are 8-10 favorite over a top 25 team. that doesn't mean they will win, it just goes to show you how much respect they are getting.
