Is 2020 a rebuild year or will we still be a top-10 team?

Losing 14 or so starters and 2 coaches. Which recruits fill in instantly, and who has the most experience off the bench?

I will say it...we still finish as a top 10 team in 2020.
I think Brennan is going to shock people next year. You cannot replace losing the guy who just had maybe the best season in the history of college football, but I think Brennan will be ready to ball. He learned from the right guys.

I think expecting a playoff appearance next year is going to be a bit of a stretch. I'm never going to say never again though.
QB - will depend on how good Brennan is.
RB - I think we will be just fine.
WR - no worries at all
OL - probably not quite as good, but still good enough.
Then it depends on the coaches brought in, and if they can continue to build off of what this offense did.
DL - will be just as good or better.
DB - I think we will be perfectly fine here.
LB - this will be the key to how good our defense is.
Then, also depends on bringing in a new DC and how he does.
Anywhere from 9-3 to 12-0.

I think we will lose 3 games. Bama, UF and a game we shouldn't

Florida... Maybe
Bama... If our offense is rolling, and Bama's best option is Mac Jones, we can beat them again.
Texas will be a tough contest. Auburn usually is too.

I think we win the west. a1abama's qbs are meh. They have a good roster but it's not special. We are still loaded at wrs, rb, te, etc. I doubt we can win the playoffs but we have decent chance. Brennan can be pretty good

I would say little chance of getting in the playoff...9-3 to 10-2. QB may depend on how good Max Johnson can be. agree with RB, WR, OL, DL (will be much better IMO), DB (better IMO), and I feel very good about LBers due to this being IMO the best unit of LBers ever signed by LSU. The main dropoff of course is basically losing Tom Brady, aka Joe Burrow to the NFL. Just think if Burrow wasn't the LSU starting QB. LSU loses a minimum of 3 games this season and doesn't make make the playoffs (Texas is a loss, Alabama is a loss, and Florida is a loss).

One thing I havent seen anyone say either is the fact that our schedule is much more in our favor by playing Texas, Bama, Ole Miss, and Miss St at home next season.
Florida, Auburn, and TAMU will be tough road games

At Auburn and at Faggie the last two games of the year in November sucks no matter how you look at it.

It was a real stretch to say that going into this year, too.

No it wasn't. Not at all.

Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if we were in contention for the playoffs at the end of the regular season. After having the entire off season and fall camp to gel with the receivers it wouldn’t surprise me if Brennan came in and wrecked shite from the get go. He’ll have the entire off season to work with the 1’s. Creating chemistry with Chase, Marshall, Racey, Kirklin and Gilbert will pay off big time. The schedule sets up nicely for the D to get in a groove with Ole Miss being our first SEC game before Florida. If we smoke Texas, I think it could springboard us into the same type of season we just had, albeit not as dominant.

Here's the schedule:
2020 LSU Football Schedule
Sept. 5 UT-SAN ANTONIO
Sept. 12 TEXAS
Sept. 19 vs. Rice (in Houston – NRG Stadium)
Sept. 26 OLE MISS
Oct. 3 NICHOLLS STATE
Oct. 10 at Florida
Oct. 17 at Arkansas
Oct. 24 MISSISSIPPI STATE
Oct. 31 Open Date
Nov. 7 ALABAMA
Nov. 14 SOUTH CAROLINA
Nov. 21 at Auburn
Nov. 28 at Texas A&M
Texas, Florida, Alabama, Auburn, and A&M are the meat of the schedule.
I'd guess Vegas will put us at 10 wins in the regular season
