LSU had to replace three OL starters this year, next year only one.

Yes it is.

Sucks to lose White and Greedy but we will have Fulton back and either Joseph, Vincent, Netherly or Stingley will step up, plus Phillips becomes White and Queen becomes Phillips. Lawrence and Fehoko will come back, solidly backed up by Farrell, Thomas and Logan. Big Ed will be at nose and maybe Shelvin will mature enough to stay off the rice. Can you imagine if Sopsher decides to not be a Saban pawn?

Ed Ingram will have his legal issues resolved this offseason. The offensive line will turn into a position of strength as these guys mature plus Kardell, Perry and Parker and, possibly, Kenyon Green. Jefferson, Chase and Marshall will lead a dangerous WR corp, supported by the twin towers, Sulllivan and Anderson, plus Giles and Dillon and welcoming 5 star Trey Palmer. Hopefully one or more of Pettigrew, Moss or McGrath emerge at TE. Tory Carter at FB as needed.

And then at RB, we add Tyrion Davis and John Emery to CEH, making it a 1 year blip without a true stable at RB.

Next year is where the steadiness of Burrow will show not only in the W column but also in the stat line. Burrow plays himself into a 3rd round draft pick.

2019 is very much the year. 11-2 this year, ranked #5 at the end. Preseason top 10 (always disrespected) and when the dust settles, we hoist the 4th national championship flag above Tiger Stadium.

fricking book it!

Our schedule is certainly better next year. Auburn, Florida, A&M at home. Outside of Bama, those are our only tough games.

I'm not counting Texas because I think we curb stomp that team.

...

This is all with a very important caveat - we retain Aranda. But I think he stays.

Yes, until it's 2019. Then 2020 will be the year.

This defense isn’t a problem.

Will the OL be better and will improving the players even be enough.

Pretending we’re an OLmen away from being a good Offense is ignorant.

potentially losing both Greedy AND Fulton

We are losing Greedy. Fulton will come back because he wants to be a first round pick, not a 4th or 5th rounder.

Will a bunch of first year starters be better in their second year? Follow football much?

You are jaded by the fact that a number of LSU players were dumbasses and came out too early. I think muddbone and his family are smart enough to realize that being a first rounder means guaranteed money and a team invested in YOU and 4th or 5th round means little guaranteed money and a hope that things work out. They are not stupid people.

You too. This team was supposed to go 6-6 or 7-5 and finish 5th in the West. Here we are, 8-2 and in position to make a NY6 bowl with an outside shot at the playoffs and you pathetically nattering nabobs of negativity want to make tired, cliched posts about optimism for next season.

Charles isn’t a first year starter
Brumsfield isn’t a first year starter

They played worse those year than last year when they were first year starters.

I think Wade can make it to the final four in 2019.
